Description
Dark Mousy is a central figure in the narrative of D.N.Angel, existing as a legendary phantom thief known to the public as Kaitou Dark. His origins are deeply rooted in a mystical and tragic past; he is one half of the Black Wings, a single, sentient work of art created by the Hikari family. When the artwork was damaged during a theft, its soul split into two opposing entities: Dark and his eternal nemesis, Krad. For over three hundred years, Dark has been passed down through the male line of the Niwa family, lying dormant within their bloodline until the conditions are right for his manifestation. This event occurs when a Niwa male reaches the age of fourteen and experiences the pangs of romantic love, at which point his body transforms into the seventeen-year-old form of Dark.
