Description
Lufy is a Solnoid ace fighter pilot who first appears in the original OVA Gall Force: Eternal Story. She enters the story crash-landing a damaged Bain-class fighter into the Solnoid vessel Star Leaf just before it jumps into hyperspace, making her not originally a member of the crew. Lufy is defined by her cocky and brash personality, often pretending not to take dangerous situations seriously and showing little regard for orders or authority. She has a reputation for being the sole survivor of multiple flight groups, which contributes to her self-assured and rebellious attitude. Despite her gruff exterior, she holds a strong sense of duty and a firm belief in the Solnoid cause in their centuries-long war against the Paranoids. Her motivation is driven by her commitment to the war effort and her fellow soldiers.
In the narrative, Lufy initially clashes with the other members of the Star Leaf crew, but over time she begins to bond with them. This development culminates when the ship is attacked by the Damoth, leading Lufy to stay behind and sacrifice herself, taking out enough enemy fighters to allow the Star Leaf to escape. She is left drifting in space. Her role evolves from a disruptive outsider to a key defender who makes a heroic sacrifice for her new comrades. In later sequels such as Gall Force 2: Destruction and Gall Force 3: Stardust War, she is revealed to have survived and becomes the central protagonist, continuing her struggle alongside the reincarnated crew.
Lufy's notable abilities include exceptional skill as a fighter pilot, making her one of the most effective assets in combat. She is also resourceful and resilient, able to survive situations that would defeat others. Key relationships include her interactions with the Star Leaf crew, particularly Rabby, and her awareness that Rumy dislikes her, which does not bother her. She also shares a bond with the android Bron-D. Her character development from a lone, cocky survivor to a self-sacrificing team player is a central thread across the series.
