Description
In the French dub of the anime Cardcaptor Sakura, the character known as Lionel corresponds to Syaoran Li, a central figure in the series. He is a young Chinese sorcerer from Hong Kong and a distant descendant of the powerful magician Clow Reed. Lionel arrives in the fictional town of Tomoeda with the goal of capturing the Clow Cards that were accidentally released by the series' protagonist, Sakura Kinomoto. He initially regards Sakura as an unworthy rival and frequently clashes with her, using his own magical abilities and a magic compass to locate and capture cards before she can.
Lionel's personality begins as cold, critical, and competitive, often displaying a tsundere attitude—acting harshly while hiding his deeper feelings.
