Shinpei Hoshi, an aspiring cyclist from the Onahama district of Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, stars in the ONA series "Jinryoku Senkan!? Shiokaze Sawakaze." Following the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, a spacetime disruption opens a wormhole, unleashing extradimensional invaders threatening his coastal hometown. Shinpei joins the defense, teaming up with the personified spirits of two former Imperial Japanese Navy destroyers, Shiokaze and Sawakaze. Historically repurposed as breakwaters at Onahama Port, these spirits transform into robotic entities to combat the extradimensional threats alongside him. Shinpei's role centers on aiding Shiokaze and Sawakaze in their battles, leveraging their combined capabilities to protect the community. He serves as a proactive human ally within this sci-fi conflict.
