Description
Rundelhaus Code, nicknamed Rudy, hails from the Ninetails Dominion as the third son of a corrupt military dynasty. Rejecting his privileged yet oppressive upbringing, he idolized the Adventurers’ ideals of liberty and justice, adopting their ethos despite his Earthling limitations. Though his EXP gain and combat prowess lagged far behind Adventurers, relentless training elevated him to low-level Adventurer equivalence—a rare achievement among Earthlings.

Disguised as an Adventurer, he infiltrated a summer training camp on the Sand Leaf Peninsula, joining Touya, Minori, Isuzu, and Serara. Early clashes arose from his flamboyant boasts and eccentricity, but collaborative dungeon trials gradually forged camaraderie. When goblins and dire wolves besieged Choushi Town, he intercepted a lethal strike to shield his party, exposing his Earthling identity. Shiroe leveraged Spirit Theory to bind him with an Adventurer subclass contract, enabling resurrection and pseudo-Adventurer capabilities. This metamorphosis positioned him as a living link between Adventurers and Earthlings.

He later fought in pivotal clashes like the Shibuya Raid and Saphir’s defense against Wyverns. Witnessing the Odysseia Knights’ callous treatment of Earthlings hardened his resolve to protect them, exposing enduring factional rifts. Partnering with Isuzu during the Route 43 campaign, he co-composed the “43rd Song,” a melody that stirred Earthling hearts and blossomed into a cultural touchstone.

As Akiba’s Earthling populace swelled, he counseled Adventurer leaders, decoding their conservative psyche and refugee-like fragility during upheavals like the Akiba General Election. His dual identity informed Log Horizon’s strategies to ease Earthling-Adventurer distrust.

Anticipating Adventurers’ possible return to their original world, he aided preparations while battling threats like the Genius Eirenus alongside Log Horizon’s junior members. Alliances with figures like Litka and Lelia Mofur deepened his role as a mediator.

His bond with Isuzu matured from bafflement at her teasing jabs to steadfast kinship, fueled by shared trials and artistic synergy. Near-death sacrifices and the weight of bridging two worlds tempered his early arrogance into humility, cementing his legacy as a tenacious unifier in a fractured realm.
