TV-Series
Description
Yoshiyuki Kojima, known online by the handle Dragonfly, is a supporting character in Chobits. He is a skilled and ambitious custom persocom builder and programmer in his mid-twenties, identifiable by his glasses and gray hair. Kojima is highly intelligent and takes considerable pride in his technical abilities, to the point of narcissism, viewing himself as a genius within his field.

Driven by an obsessive desire to advance his knowledge and create superior persocoms, Kojima is willing to bypass ethical boundaries to achieve his goals. Unlike the more reserved and principled prodigy Minoru Kokubunji, Kojima's fascination with persocoms borders on an unhealthy fixation. His primary motivation is the pursuit of technical mastery, and he sees unique persocoms as puzzles to be solved, making him a dangerous opportunist.

Kojima's most significant role in the story is as an antagonist who kidnaps Chi, the special persocom Hideki Motosuwa found. Having learned about her unique nature from online discussions, Kojima abducts her to conduct his own research. He attempts to forcefully hack into her system, connecting her to a massive parallel processing network comprised of his own persocoms in an effort to crack her security. During this invasive process, he makes an ill-advised and inappropriate attempt to touch Chi, which triggers a violent response. Chi's other personality, Freya, takes control, restrains Kojima with cables, and unleashes a concussive blast that destroys his windows and knocks him unconscious.

Following this incident, Kojima's role shifts. He is later seen cooperating with Minoru to further investigate the mystery of Chi and the legendary Chobits series. His willingness to help is not born from remorse but from his insatiable curiosity, as he admits Chi is too fascinating a system not to try and understand. Hideki, understandably, remains uncomfortable around him due to Kojima's previous actions.

Kojima has a notable connection to the persocom Kotoko, who was originally created by him. In terms of abilities, his primary skill lies in his programming and engineering expertise. He is capable of building custom persocoms and constructing complex hacking networks, demonstrating a high level of technical proficiency that makes him a formidable, if unscrupulous, researcher in the world of persocom technology.
