Description
Yuga Ohdo is an 11-year-old student at Goha 7th Elementary with flame-like auburn-and-yellow hair and green eyes. He wears a red jacket featuring white shoulders, a yellow-patterned white shirt, black shorts with a brown belt, blue shoes, and blue fingerless gloves.

Intellectually gifted and passionately inventive, Yuga frequently creates "Roads," a pun on his surname’s kanji meaning "road" or "path." His personality blends enthusiasm with rebellion, driven by a desire to reform dueling into a more accessible and enjoyable experience. He resents the rigid rules of Goha Corporation’s "Master Duels," viewing them as exclusionary. This fuels his creation of "Rush Duels," a faster-paced format allowing unlimited Normal Summons and full hand refreshes each Draw Phase. Despite his ingenuity, inventions like a lie detector on a fishing rod, hairstyling capsules, and rotating chairs often prove impractical or unsuccessful.

Yuga developed an early love for Duel Monsters but struggled with its complexity. Attending a tournament featuring the duelist Otes, who preached "cutting open new roads," became pivotal. Otes later gifted him the "Sevens Road Magician" card, cementing Yuga’s resolve. After accumulating five penalties for hacking his Duel Disk to install Rush Duel protocols—risking permanent suspension—he dueled a holographic manifestation of Otes in the Relic Chamber, encouraged by Lucidien "Luke" Kallister. Victory allowed him to implement Rush Duels, erasing his penalties and fulfilling his goal of inclusive dueling.

Relationships shape his journey. Luke, initially a rival seeking the title "King of Duels," becomes his closest friend; Yuga selflessly cedes the title to him despite creating Rush Duels. Gavin Sogetsu, the strict student council president, opposes Rush Duels initially but becomes an ally after Yuga defeats him. Romin Kassidy, intrigued by his inventions, receives a modified "Duel Guitar" from him, symbolizing their collaboration.

Yuga’s deck centers on Spellcaster monsters optimized for Rush Duel mechanics. His strategy involves rapid field-swarming and leveraging the Graveyard to empower his ace monster, "Sevens Road Magician," which gains 300 ATK per unique Attribute there. He frequently exhausts his hand to maximize card draw efficiency, often setting Spells preemptively.

Yuga confronts Goha Corporation’s efforts to suppress Rush Duels. Key conflicts include dueling Nail Saionji, a Goha overseer who steals data from Yuga’s drone Kaizo, and defeating the Goha siblings, culminating in victory over Yuro Goha’s alter ego, "The☆Lukeman." Later, he joins Goha to restore his friends’ presidencies, sparking suspicions he might be the sixth Goha sibling. This arc reveals the antagonist Yuga Goha (disguised as Otes), who aims to eradicate dueling. In a climactic space duel, Yuga Ohdo defeats him but becomes stranded in space for two years before returning.

In the spin-off *Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!*, Yuga reappears in a temporal displacement, inadvertently recreating Rush Duels in the past during his absence. His actions there do not alter his original timeline.

Notable traits include a phobia of ladybugs, an inability to swim, and a fondness for the number seven, which he associates with breaking Goha’s control. He remains indifferent to personal accolades, prioritizing collective joy over becoming the "best" duelist.
