Description
Rayne Nanahoshi holds the position of vice president on the student council at Goha 7th Elementary. She works closely with her twin brother, Rino, supporting president Gavin Sogetsu. Generations of her family have served the Sogetsu family as ninja, fostering deep loyalty to Gavin and his responsibilities. This dedication occasionally drives her to act against Gavin's stated wishes, like early attempts to persuade him to quit Rush Dueling entirely.

Rayne possesses fair skin, severely styled blonde hair, and hazel eyes. Her attire includes rectangular glasses featuring a blue half-frame. She wears a teal waistcoat layered over a gray sleeveless top reminiscent of a corset, combined with a white shirt, red tie, gray miniskirt, knee-length blue socks, and brown slip-on shoes. When executing ninja duties for Gavin or assisting Romin Kassidy with cooking, she switches to traditional Kuroko stagehand garb: a charcoal veil, grey top and pants, black tunic and shoes, and a blue sash.

Personality-wise, Rayne exhibits strict adherence to rules and duty, often delivering snarky commentary, particularly when critiquing Romin's cooking. A defining trait is her tendency to develop intense romantic crushes rapidly, meticulously documented across 75 separate love diaries. This manifests as "Rayne Eyes" – delusional misinterpretations where she fantasizes about declarations of love from her current crush, initially focused on Yuga Ohdo and later shifting to Galient Tazaki. Rino frequently intervenes to dispel these delusions and prevent embarrassment. Rayne secretly observed Yuga to evaluate his suitability as Gavin's friend, developing feelings she initially denied.

Rayne's character development involves questioning her lifelong loyalty to Gavin. During the Goha 6th Elementary arc, she temporarily leaves his service to join Neiru Saionji, believing she must forge her own path. This follows her duel against Gavin, where defeat grants her a new perspective. She ultimately returns to Gavin's side after witnessing his duel against Neiru, reaffirming her commitment.

As a duelist, Rayne employs a Plant-type "Flower Fang" deck centered on ninja-themed monsters and swarm tactics. Her strategy involves setting multiple monsters and waiting for opportunities to strike with piercing damage. Key cards include "Flowerfang Beauty Gekka," "Flowerfang Kunoichi Etranzer," and spells/traps like "Flowerfang Orchid Dance" and "Greater Piercing!!" Her documented duels include a loss to Galient Tazaki (episode 29), a draw against her brother Rino (episode 36), and another loss to Gavin Sogetsu (episode 41).
