Hana Danno is a supporting character from the anime Daemons of the Shadow Realm who operates in the modern lowlands, distinct from the secluded mountain village where the protagonist Yuru was raised. She is a young woman with a distinctive appearance, featuring two-toned hair where pink is the predominant color mixed with black, and black eyes. Her family originally came from Higashi village, and because of this lineage, her family has been involved with the world of Tsugai, also known as Daemons, for generations. While she would prefer not to be entangled in this hidden realm, she has no choice due to her inherited family obligations.

Hana serves as one of Higashimura's Banshousha, a type of operative who handles underground tasks ranging from errands to the disposal of bodies. Her official job is that of a gravedigger, and she typically wears casual clothing or a dark sweatshirt to blend in as an ordinary person. Despite her small physical frame, she is a combat-oriented individual who favors direct confrontation and wields brass knuckles in a fight. Her personality is straightforward, candid, and athletic. Although she maintains a cool exterior, she possesses a warm heart and has a tendency to act protectively toward those in her care. She famously claims to dislike children, yet she consistently looks after Yuru and the twin Daemons, Right and Left, with genuine attention and care. Her primary concern as Yuru's guardian is preventing him from causing trouble for which she would be held responsible.

In the story, Hana is partnered with Tatera Ryu, also known as Dera. As a cover to protect the protagonist Yuru, she maintains a fake marriage with Dera, posing as his wife to create a legitimate front for their activities. Together, they take in Yuru after his village is attacked, helping him navigate the modern world by providing him with new clothes and food that he has never experienced before, such as seaweed-covered rice balls. Hana is deeply involved in the conspiracy surrounding the Kagemori family and Yuru's origins.

Regarding her abilities, Hana is a Tsugai user who commands a pair of Daemons named Kotetsu and Jiro, collectively known as Fore Tiger, Rear Wolf. These Daemons have been in her family for generations and are thus accustomed to the modern world, understanding how to use technology effectively. Jiro takes the form of a white dog and represents a wolf; his primary ability is tracking targets using his sense of smell, enabling him to find a person anywhere over any distance. Kotetsu is an orange cat-shaped Daemon who represents a tiger; he can track Jiro's location using GPS on a mobile phone, allowing Hana to know the precise location of the target Jiro is following. The pair can also communicate telepathically over long distances. Unlike combat-focused Daemons, these two appear to specialize in tracking and intelligence gathering, which aligns with Hana's role in handling underworld errands and surveillance.
