TV-Series
Description
Cyril Sweetchka is a young teenage girl with short blond hair, noted to be slightly shorter than her former companion, Flum. She grew up in a small village before becoming a member of the hero’s party led by Jean Inteige.
Initially, Cyril is portrayed as a passive individual who is easily manipulated and intimidated, especially by Jean. Despite striking up a fast friendship with Flum, with whom she would spend her days off, Cyril proved unable to stand up to Jean when he began to bully Flum for her perceived uselessness. This inability to defend her friend caused their friendship to erode, leading Cyril to act as if she agreed with Jean’s harsh sentiments toward Flum.
Cyril’s role in the story begins with her complicity in Flum’s downfall. When Jean threw Flum to the ground, Cyril looked at her coldly and left without a word. She was unaware that Jean had sold Flum into slavery, being shocked when Jean lied to the party, claiming Flum had quit and returned home. This revelation causes Cyril to quickly become depressed, consumed by regret and a realization of her own ingratitude toward everything Flum had done for her. This overwhelming guilt cripples her will to fight, rendering her unable to participate in battles against the Demon General.
Her key relationships are primarily with her former party members. She was the first person Gadhio told of his intention to leave the hero’s party, and he offered her words of wisdom regarding the truth of the human and demon conflict. Before his departure, Gadhio promised he would check on Flum on Cyril’s behalf. The most significant relationship is with Flum, as it is strongly implied that Cyril may have harbored romantic feelings for her, though she was unable to express or even recognize these emotions herself. Her development is marked by a shift from passive complicity to active regret. After returning to the capital, Cyril was given an Origin Core, from which she could sense evil. Her guilt ultimately leads her to Jean’s room, where she overheard an argument that confirmed Jean had sold Flum into slavery, exposing the truth of his betrayal.
Regarding notable abilities, Cyril is recognized as a Hero, though her emotional state severely hampers her ability to fight effectively during critical moments.
