Description
Anna-Marie Victirium is a supporting character in the light novel, manga, and anime series Heroine? Saint? No, I'm an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)!. She is also known by the nickname the Mermaid Maiden, a reference to her striking appearance and graceful personality. Her Japanese voice actress in the anime adaptation, which is set to premiere in July 2026, is Yoko Hikasa.

Anna-Marie is the daughter of a marquis, placing her in the upper echelons of the kingdom's nobility. She is a student at the Royal Academy, where she serves as a member of the student council. Her intelligence is as highly regarded as her beauty, and she is generally perceived as a perfect, composed noblewoman. However, this flawless facade is not her entire truth.

In reality, Anna-Marie is a reincarnated individual whose original Japanese name was Asakura Anna. Because maintaining her impeccable noble persona is taxing, she created a secondary identity to relax and move freely. This alter ego is named Anna, a cheerful and commoner maid who works for the Victirium household. While in this disguise, she dresses in a maid's uniform and alters her appearance, allowing her to explore the city and interact with people without the constraints of her noble rank. She had used this disguise even before enrolling in the Royal Academy to spend time in the commoner's quarter.

Anna-Marie's motivations often revolve around her own investigations. She is a perceptive character who becomes suspicious of certain events at the academy, such as those surrounding another student, Olivia Rankdol. When her formal inquiries as a student council member reach a dead end, she adopts her Anna persona to gather information from the academy's servants, believing they might have seen or heard something useful.

Her most significant relationship is with the protagonist, Melody Wave. Anna and Melody became good friends when they first met in the capital; at the time, Anna was disguised as the maid, Anna, and Melody was delighted to befriend a fellow domestic worker. This friendship is symbolized by a doll that Anna gave to Melody, which she intended as a token of their bond. Unbeknownst to Anna-Marie, this doll was not an ordinary toy but the true form of the Magical Puppet Maid, Selena. In this way, Anna-Marie unintentionally played a part in Selena's creation. Her friendship with Melody remains a genuine connection, one built on her simpler, disguised identity rather than her noble title.

Anna-Marie's personal history as a reincarnated person from Japan gives her a deeper connection to other characters than is immediately apparent. The name "Micah," mentioned by Melody, resonates powerfully with her because it sounds like the name of her younger sister from her past life, Kurita Maika. She and Maika were very close, and she finds the possibility of her sister also having reincarnated into this world both a hopeful and a tragic thought.

In terms of abilities, Anna-Marie is noted for her high intelligence and analytical mind, which she uses in her student council duties and personal investigations. She is also skilled at disguise and acting, able to effectively transform into her maid persona, Anna, a performance convincing enough to fool most people, including the servants of her own household.
