Description
Mafuyu Seba is a fourteen-year-old boy who participates in the JCC transfer exam, an entrance test for a prestigious assassin academy. He is the younger brother of Natsuki Seba, and his reason for taking the transfer exam is an unfortunate and somewhat trivial one: he caught the flu from his older brother, which forced him to miss the regular examination period.
In terms of his physical appearance, Mafuyu is of average height and build, standing at 172 centimeters tall. He has short, dark blue hair with bangs that often cover most of his face, sharp eyebrows, and sunken black eyes. His most distinctive feature is that he is almost always seen wearing a mask, which is typically a teal surgical mask, though he has also been seen with a light green face mask or a teal gas mask; this is to protect himself from germs and dirt.
His personality is defined by his extreme germaphobia, which governs almost all of his actions. He is a very vocal and obsessive clean-freak who cannot stand filth, and he has an incredibly strong negative reaction whenever he gets dirty, especially with blood. This aversion is so powerful that he refuses to use his hands in combat to avoid getting them soiled. Despite this strong quirk, he is also a typical teenager, showing a preference for watching YouTube over movies and having hobbies like playing soccer. Mafuyu's primary motivation for entering the JCC is to become a member of the Order, an elite group of assassins. His role in the story begins as one of the skilled examinees competing against other hopefuls, including Shin Asakura. His key relationships are central to his development. He has a complicated relationship with his older brother Natsuki, whom he often complains about for getting him sick, yet he has also shown a deep-seated loyalty, as seen when he later returns to save his brother from a dangerous adversary.
