Description
Dragon of Creation Ōma is a significant supporting character from the light novel and anime series I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too. Ōma first appears in the fifth volume of the original light novel series and is the third mythical beast to be tamed by the protagonist, Yuuya Tenjou.

Ōma's background is deeply rooted in the mythology of the story's other world. Its race is identified as the Creation Dragon, a being that has existed since the very dawn of that world. Prior to its introduction, Ōma had been slumbering for several thousand years. During that ancient era, it was an acquaintance of the late great sage, Jenovice, establishing a connection to the world's distant past.

In terms of physical appearance, Ōma is a colossal dragon with scales that shimmer in three striking colors: purple, black, and vermilion. Its personality is notably self-centered and capricious, acting according to its own whims and desires without much regard for others. This trait is evident when it awakens from its millennia-long sleep, disturbed by the conflicting auras of holy and evil power. Upon waking, it immediately begins consuming monsters in a canyon region, causing widespread chaos and prompting a quest for the main characters to investigate.

Ōma is not driven by malice or a desire for conquest. Instead, its primary motivation is a simple, almost childlike curiosity for things it finds interesting. This is most clearly demonstrated when it is not the threat of violence, but the enticing smell of curry cooked by Yuuya and his companions that finally draws it out of hiding. After being given a special pill by Yuuya that grants it the ability to freely change its size, Ōma becomes captivated by the food and develops an interest in Yuuya, his companions, and the strange world of Earth from which they hail.

The role Ōma plays in the story evolves from a chaotic neutral force of nature to a powerful ally and mentor. After being intrigued by the party, Ōma proposes a deal: it will cooperate with Yuuya if he can provide it with interesting experiences. The noblewoman Eno authorizes Yuuya to deal with the dragon as he sees fit, leading to Ōma becoming Yuuya's familiar. It is Yuuya who gives the dragon its name, Ōma, inspired by the colors of its scales which resemble the twilight sky of the Japanese word Oumagatoki.

The most crucial relationship Ōma forms is with Yuuya Tenjou. As his familiar, Ōma frequently acts as a guide and a strict combat instructor, using its immense power to train Yuuya and help him master his own abilities. While it serves Yuuya, its personality remains unchanged, often acting with an air of superiority and doing as it pleases, but it develops a genuine bond with its new master and the world of Earth.

A significant aspect of Ōma's development involves its very nature as a Creation Dragon. Originally, it was one of two such dragons, with Ōma presiding over the aspect of Evil. Its counterpart presided over Good, but that dragon was corrupted into a Void Dragon and became a vanguard for a nihilistic god. This Void Dragon was eventually defeated by Yuuya after being transported to the past. With that counterpart's existence erased from history, Ōma is affirmed as the sole remaining Creation Dragon in the world.

Ōma possesses a suite of incredibly powerful, god-like abilities. As a Creation Dragon, it can use an ability known as Divine Authority, or Shin'i, a power that operates on a level far exceeding normal magic. Its immense natural strength, speed, and durability are those of an ancient and mythical being. One of its most practical and notable abilities is the power to change its size freely, from its colossal true form down to a much smaller, more portable one, a power it gains after consuming a pill from Yuuya. This allows it to accompany the protagonist without causing widespread panic or destruction.
