Description
Yasuki Yatsukawa is a bow tsugumomo of the Mayoiga faction. His personality is stoic, showing little emotion, and he executes orders diligently. He exhibits a strong protective instinct specifically towards Mimane Miyou.
He first appears attacking Akito Ashimine and Arumi upon their arrival at Mayoiga, firing arrows Arumi predicts to help Akito dodge. The confrontation stops when Mimane approaches. Tanmen later apologizes for him, though Yasuki himself remains silent when ordered to apologize. He eventually apologizes to Akito, explaining his actions stemmed from concern over Mimane's excessive excitement about the outside world whenever newcomers arrive.
As part of Azami's strategy, Yasuki relocates undercover to Kamioka alongside Akito, Arumi, and Mimane, enrolling at Kamioka East Middle School. During the Counseling Office Club Arc, he notes Akito's plan proved superior to Arumi's after defeating an amasogi. In the Mayoiga Revolt Arc, he protects Mimane from Azami's attack, fighting until Akito intervenes. Yasuki questions Azami's trustworthiness, to which Akito replies they have no choice. Later, after Mimane reveals her identity to Kazuya Kagami and Kiriha, Yasuki warns Akito against growing complacent. He also cautions Akito about the dangers of joining Kazuya and Kiriha's club and advises monitoring Mimane's behavior.
When Mimane reports an attack by other Mayoiga members, Yasuki proposes joining the assault on Kukuri. Mimane overrules him, deeming Kukuri too powerful. Yasuki then returns to Mayoiga with Akito, Arumi, Mimane, and Azami, facing an immediate attack from Sanjuurou. After Sanjuurou's defeat, Chikage informs them of a radical revolt involving consuming humans for power. During Mayoiga's full assault on Kukuri, Yasuki stays with Mimane to distract Honoka's projection. He battles Honoka in the air using Shien's smoke platforms, threatening to involve local exorcists and gods if she withdraws. The battle ends when Mayoiga's ship collapses due to Miurahi's power loss, prompting Tanmen to order surrender.
Yasuki is later imprisoned at Tsuzura Temple with other Mayoiga tsukumogami. He is among the first rescued by Kazuya and Kyouka from Masuji Madarai's Servitude Faction. Following the Nine Masters Tournament, he is seen conversing with Mimane after Ouhi Oriobana and Kazuya save the remaining Mayoiga tsukumogami.
His combat abilities center on archery, utilizing a longbow to manifest specialized arrows with varied arrowheads. He demonstrates techniques like loosing multiple arrows simultaneously and altering their trajectories mid-flight.
