Description
Lise Azumino is a university student who feels directionless and uncertain about her future. She often feels lost and struggles to find her place in life, trying to fit in and do what others expect but failing to achieve a sense of purpose. Her late grandmother, who loved the world of Alice in Wonderland, left behind an invitation letter that guides Lise into a fantastical realm called Wonderland. There she meets a young girl named Alice, and the two embark on a journey together.

Lise's motivation stems from her desire to find meaning and decide what kind of future she truly wants. Her grandmother's legacy and the invitation serve as a catalyst for her personal quest. In Wonderland, she encounters iconic residents such as the White Rabbit, the Caterpillar, the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, Humpty Dumpty, the twin Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the Cheshire Cat, and the Card Soldiers. Each encounter pushes her to confront her own uncertainties and adapt to the bizarre logic of Wonderland.

The central relationship is between Lise and Alice. While Alice is a confident, eccentric, and fearless child from the Victorian era, Lise is a modern young adult burdened by indecision. Their dynamic is that of two different worlds meeting, and through their travel together, Lise begins to open up and share her feelings, including her memories of her grandmother. The journey is as much about Lise's internal growth as it is about navigating the chaos around them.

Lise does not possess physical or magical abilities. Instead, her growth comes from her willingness to step into the unknown, confront her own doubts, and learn to make choices for herself. Her development is marked by a gradual shift from passive confusion to active decision-making, guided by the strange lessons of Wonderland and her bond with Alice. By the end of the story, she finds a clearer sense of direction in her own life.
