Description
Jamie Osen is a mage and a former member of the A-rank party Thunder Pike, operating out of the city of Finis. Her primary drive to become an adventurer stemmed from a desperate need to earn money for medicine to treat her younger brother, Tac, who suffers from a serious illness. Physically, she is recognized by her youthful, freckled face and long blonde hair, which she typically styles into two lively ponytails. Despite her shorter stature, she has a noticeably curvaceous figure and often wears daring purple-colored outfits that expose her skin. Her main weapon is a short staff.
In terms of personality, Jamie is characterized as a gentle, hardworking, and sincere individual with a strong sense of responsibility, particularly concerning her brother's well-being. She possesses a humble and self-critical nature but is prone to feelings of guilt. This is especially true regarding her time in Thunder Pike, where she silently regrets her failure to adequately support a fellow member named Yuke Feldio and resents being complicit in his mistreatment. Her honesty compels her to repent for her mistakes, and she is capable of making courageous decisions when the situation demands it. A notable quirk is her remarkably low tolerance for alcohol, which causes her to lose control easily when she drinks, leading to uninhibited behavior such as confessing her feelings or trying to seduce others, followed by sincere apologies.
Jamie's role in the story is deeply tied to her redemption and her shifting allegiances. Her old party, Thunder Pike, was led by the unjust leader Simon Barkley, alongside members Barry and Camilla. After Yuke left the party, Thunder Pike's effectiveness plummeted, and Simon became involved in criminal activities. Jamie was forced to endure mistreatment, bullying, and pressure to perform menial tasks without gratitude, all while fearing a reduction in her pay which she needed for her brother's care. Eventually, she secretly gathered evidence of her party's crimes. During a confrontation in a dungeon, she openly betrayed Thunder Pike by using her magic to save Yuke's new party, Clover, from a collapsing floor and physically阻止 Simon from taking a hostage. This act led to the death of two of her former party members and caused her to be severely injured by Simon, who had transformed into an undead creature.
Following her rescue by Clover, Jamie became the sole surviving member of Thunder Pike and faced legal consequences for her actions. However, due to her cooperation in providing evidence against her former party and her non-involvement in their discriminatory acts, her sentence was reduced to a one-year suspension of her adventurer license. During this suspension, she worked at the Adventurer's Guild reception desk to pay off social debts and support her brother. Yuke later obtained the medicine that fully cured her brother, relieving her of her financial burdens. The King ultimately granted her a full pardon ahead of schedule due to her heroic deeds, and she was officially welcomed into Yuke's group, Clover.
Key relationships define her journey. Her relationship with Yuke is the longest and most profound among the heroines. She harbors secret romantic feelings for him that developed during their time in Thunder Pike. Her actions are largely motivated by a desire to atone for her past silence and to prove herself worthy of his trust. After officially joining Clover, she actively apologizes to Yuke for her past behavior and seeks opportunities to express her feelings for him as both a woman and an adventurer. Jamie also develops bonds with the other members of Clover—Marina, Silk, Rain, and Nene—who provide her with understanding and a supportive new environment.
Her development sees her evolve from a guilt-ridden pawn into a redeemed and proactive adventurer. She moves away from being purely an offensive mage. Through training and self-discovery, she awakens to her affinity for the Red Mage class, a role that aligns her support-oriented abilities with those of Yuke, which serves as a symbol of her admiration and dedication to him. As a mage, she specializes in attack magic but is also capable of handling supportive spells, though she has difficulty using complex magical tools, a skill at which Yuke excels.
