Description
Kojirō, whose full name is Nezu Kojirō, is a key member of the Elusive Warriors and a trusted retainer of the young lord Hojo Tokiyuki. He belongs to the Nezu clan, a powerful family in Shinano province that serves the Suwa Grand Shrine. His background is marked by complication and tragedy. He was born as an illegitimate child, the result of a forced union between his mother, the sister of the Nezu clan head, and a powerful Hojo retainer. His mother died in childbirth, and his father refused to take responsibility. This left Kojirō as an outcast within his own family. To give him a defined place in the world, his uncle, the clan head Nezu Yoriyasu, tasked him with serving as the shadow and stand-in for the clan's legitimate but sickly heir, who was also named Kojirō.
