Description
99 Arrows Wayumi is a character from the second chapter of the Duel Masters LOST story, known as Gekka no Shinigami. She is a regular customer at the exclusive card shop Red Plane, a place her friend Miyai introduced her to. Within the shop, she is considered one of the most skilled duelists among the clientele.

Wayumi is a teenage girl with green hair that reaches her waist and orange eyes. She is often seen wearing a jacket and has her hair in a ponytail with blunt bangs. At one point in the story, she has her right arm in a cast, an injury she sustained while pursuing a lead related to a string of mysterious incidents.

Her primary motivation is deeply personal. Her father, a police officer, has had his heart stolen in a strange attack, leaving him in a comatose state. Using notes from her father's journal, Wayumi comes to believe that the culprit is a figure known as the Black Shinigami, who is rumored to be responsible for the recent heart thefts. She is actively searching for this figure in hopes of finding answers and justice for her father.

Initially, Wayumi decides to follow the protagonist, Win, after he defeats her in a duel. Her reasoning is pragmatic, believing that by keeping close to someone of his strength, she might eventually encounter the Black Shinigami. However, she is honest enough to later apologize to Win for this manipulative intention. As she spends more time with Win and his companions, she begins to question her original theory, considering the possibility that the Black Shinigami might not be the one who attacked her father.

The most significant relationship in Wayumi's life is with Meguru Hayama, the charismatic and soft-spoken store manager of Red Plane, who is also her romantic partner. Her investigation leads her to search the shop, where she discovers a hidden room filled with stolen hearts. This terrible discovery confirms her worst fears: the true culprit is Meguru. He is not the Black Shinigami but a fanatical worshipper of a creature named Imissh Itzayana, for whom he has been stealing hearts as offerings.

Upon revealing his true nature, Meguru attempts to sacrifice Wayumi as a living offering to his dark entity. She is saved at the last moment by Win's intervention. Even after this traumatic betrayal, Wayumi's feelings for Meguru remain complicated and do not simply vanish. She later moves to shield him from another character, Kuroki Kyoshiro, who intends to kill him, demonstrating that her affection persists despite everything he has done. Her role in the story is thus that of a victim and a witness, whose personal tragedy is central to unveiling the antagonist's plot.

In terms of abilities, Wayumi is established as a highly capable duelist. She is considered one of the top players at the Red Plane shop. In her on-screen duel against Win, she uses a deck themed around Bolmeteus Control in the anime adaptation. Despite her skill, she loses to Win, marking her official record as one defeat in one match.
