TV-Series
Description
Jasmine Flamesworth is a skilled augmenter and a member of the Twin Horns, an adventurer party that once included Arthur Leywin's parents. She comes from a distinguished noble background as a scion of the Flamesworth Family, a lineage known primarily for producing fire mages, which makes her own innate wind attribute affinity a point of divergence from her family’s expectations. This difference led to prejudice and a feeling of not belonging, ultimately causing her to run away from home and become an adventurer. The Twin Horns party became the closest thing to a family she has ever known.
In personality, Jasmine is initially described as shy, quiet, and having trouble opening up to others. Despite this reserved exterior, she possesses a dry wit and is not afraid to tease her comrades, often bringing up embarrassing stories about them. She is deeply loyal, protective, and takes her responsibilities seriously, particularly when it comes to the safety of those she cares about. Her determination and observational skills are notable, allowing her to quickly learn and master new techniques, such as the agility skills taught to her by a young Arthur.
Her primary motivation shifts from finding a place of belonging to a fierce desire to protect her newfound family. This is most evident in her relationship with Arthur Leywin, the son of her former party leader. After Arthur’s apparent death during an ambush in the Grand Mountains, Jasmine is left distraught and blames herself for failing to save him. Upon discovering he survived, she tearfully reunites with him and volunteers to be his mentor and chaperone during his time as an adventurer, a role she accepts despite normally disliking escort missions. Her role in the story is that of a mentor, older sister figure, and trusted comrade who helps shape Arthur’s early development as a fighter in his new life.
Key relationships define her journey. Her bond with Arthur is central, evolving from distant acquaintances to a close sibling-like relationship built on mutual trust and respect. She comforts him during personal conflicts and is deeply affected by his later presumed deaths, losing hope each time. She also shares strong camaraderie with the other members of the Twin Horns, including Adam, Durden, and Helen, who represent the family she chose for herself.
Throughout the story, Jasmine undergoes significant development. She grows from a lonesome individual struggling with her identity into a more confident and powerful mage. Over the course of several years, she breaks through from the dark yellow stage of her mana core to the light yellow stage and earns the rank of an AA-Class Adventurer. Her time mentoring Arthur is mutually beneficial; while she teaches him swordsmanship and wind magic, she also learns new blade techniques from him, helping her refine her own unique double-blade style.
In terms of notable abilities, Jasmine is a prodigy who awakened her mana core at a very young age. As an augmenter, she channels mana inside her body to enhance her physical attacks, speed, and agility. She specializes in speed and wields dual daggers with great proficiency. Her magic is exclusively of the wind element, which she uses in combination with her dagger work to perform powerful techniques such as Banshee’s Howl, a spell capable of blowing away dense mist. Her combat style is aggressive and precise, focusing on closing distances quickly to eliminate threats with her dual-blade techniques.
