Description
Orobas Coco is a first-year student in Class A at Babyls Demon School in the anime Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun. He is a tall demon with a tanned, athletic build, standing even taller than Asmodeus Alice. His most distinctive features are his glasses, his bushy eyebrows, and his very long brown hair, which he keeps tied in a ponytail with lengths reaching down to the ground. His body resembles that of a satyr or centaur, with a human upper body and a horse-like lower body, and he carries special markings on his fingers that are a hereditary trait of his family. His name is derived from the demon Orobas of the seventy-two pillars of Solomon, a naming tradition shared by many demons in the series.

At school, Coco is known for consistently ranking second in nearly everything, a record that earned him the nickname Second Place Believer. Despite his somewhat strict and distant first impression, he is actually gentle, fair, and kind-hearted. He values honest and straightforward competition and prefers to win through his own efforts, which is why he dislikes relying on the special powers passed down in his family. He carries himself with a calm, serene demeanor and holds an unrelenting desire for self-improvement, always striving to do better than before.

During the Harvest Festival arc, Coco serves as a rival to the protagonist, Suzuki Iruma. He is manipulated by Ocho, an intruder who infiltrates Babyls Demon School during the festival by posing as a participant, using Coco as a piece in a scheme directed against Iruma and the other students. Once the manipulation is overcome, Coco moves away from his antagonistic role and becomes a supporting character from that point onward.

His relationship with Iruma is the central dynamic of his early appearances, with the two facing each other in the climactic finale of the Harvest Festival. As a member of Class A, Coco is also a classmate of Gaako and Eiko, and after the festival he continues to appear as a fellow student rather than an enemy.

Coco's development is defined by his shift from rival to supporting figure and by his commitment to competing honestly without depending on inherited abilities. He demonstrates strong overall skill as a student, as reflected in his consistent second-place finishes, and his athletic physique makes him a formidable presence in physical contests. The distinctive markings on his fingers remain a permanent reminder of the family lineage whose powers he chooses not to lean on.
