Originally a wild nutria, Batetemoda’s transformation into a humanoid Byogen began when a parasitic seed from Daruizen’s Megabyogen infected him. His striking appearance boasts pale yellow hair, piercing green eyes, and a bold ensemble of a red sleeveless jacket layered over a black shirt, olive green pants, and gleaming silver accessories. Driven by aggression, vanity, and a thirst for battle, he treated combat as a twisted game, nurturing a fierce rivalry with fellow generals Daruizen, Shindoine, and Guaiwaru—figures he once masqueraded as kin while plotting to overthrow.
Emerging in episode 11, Batetemoda swiftly challenged the Cures by summoning Jewelry Megabyogens, adapting Guaiwaru’s strategies to sharpen his tactics. He escalated hostilities by targeting vital environmental forces like the Wind Spirit and disrupting public gatherings such as the Sukoyaka Festival, leveraging hostages and strategic infections to maximize chaos. Episode 19 marked a turning point when his abduction of Latte backfired, as Cure Earth’s debut overwhelmed him. His demise came in episode 20 after a desperate gambit to amplify his power using stolen Megabyogen remnants failed catastrophically, ending with Cure Earth’s Healing Hurricane erasing him permanently.
Batetemoda wielded the ability to spawn Megabyogens from his bacterial essence, deploying them to corrupt both landscapes and victims. In combat, he favored overwhelming force and chaos, sacrificing surroundings without hesitation to achieve his ends. Though initially one of Daruizen’s three generals, his relentless drive and adaptability allowed him to outlast rivals Nebusoku and Kedary, securing his survival longer than anticipated.
Batetemoda navigated villainous politics through deception, maintaining a facade of loyalty to Daruizen and Shindoine while covertly scheming to seize their authority. Even Guaiwaru, whom he once respected as a mentor, became a target for subjugation. His insatiable ambition proved fatal when he disregarded King Byogen’s commands to amass stolen power, provoking a brutal clash with Guaiwaru that left him vulnerable just before his climactic defeat.
