Description
Phantom Thief G is the head of the Phantom Thief Academy, the international criminal organization that forms the central threat in the anime film Eiga Oshiri Tantei: Star and Moon. The Academy operates from a base on Stardust Island, the same island where an idol contest is being held when the story begins, and G oversees a large network of thieves from that stronghold. In earlier appearances in the franchise he is shown as a broad-bodied, cockroach-like figure whose form is often wrapped in a black silhouette, and he tends to favor words that begin with the letter G, such as gold, great, and gorgeous.
In terms of personality, G is greedy and strongly attached to money, and he has been known to direct the activities of his thieves mainly for the sake of gathering wealth. He possesses enough charisma to keep many thieves under his command, and he leads a personal unit known as the G Squad. At the same time, he is cold toward anyone who fails him; even fellow phantom thieves can be dismissed or subjected to such intense intimidation that they are left unable to continue their work.
