Description
Kensei Morita is a male student in class 1-5, making him a classmate of both Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo. He is recognizable by his medium-length, bluish-black hair styled in a distinctive wolf cut, and is generally considered to be handsome with a slim but slightly muscular build.

His most defining characteristic is his loud, energetic, and overwhelmingly confident personality. Kensei speaks his mind without hesitation and asks direct, unfiltered questions, which often makes him seem blunt or lacking in tact. However, his classmates and friends view him as fundamentally friendly, honest, and without any malicious intent; his straightforward nature is simply part of his open and genuine character. His fearless and dignified demeanor serves as a model of confident masculinity for others.

A formative experience from his childhood was a social studies field trip to a traditional Hina doll workshop in the Iwatsuki area. Deeply impressed by the skill and dedication of the craftsmen he saw there, he has since held them in the highest regard, praising them as superhuman. This early admiration speaks to his capacity for deep respect and wonder.

Kensei's role in the story is primarily as a supporting friend within the main group. His most notable narrative function is serving as the real-life inspiration for Marin Kitagawa's performance when she is cosplaying a male character. To help her act in a convincingly masculine way, Gojo and Marin used Kensei's confident and bold mannerisms as the perfect example. Additionally, his own enthusiasm for cosplay became apparent when Marin showed him a photo of a cosplayer named Amane; he fell in love at first sight and immediately asked for an introduction, only to be shocked upon learning that the cosplayer was actually their male classmate, Wakana Gojo. This incident led to a very quick heartbreak, with a friend remarking that they had never seen someone fall out of love so fast. The event also revealed that Kensei has a particular fondness for older women.

Kensei has close friendships with several other characters. He is often seen with his friend Shiki Kashiwagi, who teases him by calling him names due to his loud and sometimes foolish behavior. He is also part of the same friend circle as Rune Yamauchi. He develops a stronger friendship with Wakana Gojo after meeting him at a Halloween party and later assists him by helping others learn how to exhibit more masculine traits for their cosplay performances at the school cultural festival. Despite his boisterous and dominant presence at school, an interesting contrast exists in his home life, where he holds very little power; he has described the hierarchy in his family as being led by his grandmother, mother, two older sisters, and younger sister, followed by the family dog, then himself, and finally his father at the very bottom.
