TV-Series
Description
Rei Saiga is a high school student of average height with short light brown hair and brown eyes, typically seen in a white dress or judo attire. She hones her skills in judo and kendo, disciplines that later shape her combat approach within the game. Her initial curiosity about gaming sparked after observing her classmate Rakuro Hizutome's enthusiasm during bad weather. Following him to the Rock Roll gaming store, she witnessed him purchase a critically flawed title, inspiring her to explore gaming herself. Unable to engage with such technically deficient games, she joined the newly launched Shangri-La Frontier (SLF), adopting the username Psyger-0.

Within SLF, her avatar, Psyger-0, manifests as a tall, imposing figure completely obscured by ornate full-body armor that dynamically shifts color based on active buffs, wielding a greatsword. During an encounter with the Colossus Ctarnidd, her avatar temporarily transformed into a female form, causing significant equipment incompatibility due to reduced stature. This intimidating avatar starkly contrasts with her reserved real-world demeanor, contributing to her difficulty interacting with Rakuro's in-game persona, Sunraku, despite joining SLF to connect with him.

Her personality exhibits a stark duality. Outside the game, Rei displays acute shyness and social anxiety, particularly concerning her unexpressed romantic feelings for Rakuro. This often manifests as hesitant observation, sometimes interpreted as stalking. She confides in Mana Iwamaki, owner of Rock Roll, seeking advice after failed interactions. Conversely, as Psyger-0, she cultivates a formidable, largely silent warrior persona, projecting intimidation and strength. Her attempts at digital communication with Sunraku reflect her social unease, such as composing excessively formal messages after extensive deliberation. Despite her initial focus on Rakuro, her gaming pursuits evolved into a genuine personal passion, leading her to become one of SLF's elite players independently.

Psyger-0's in-game capabilities are formidable. Her character build maximizes damage output, earning her the title "Attack Holder" for achieving SLF's highest recorded burst damage. She holds the main job of Holy Knight and the sub-job of Dark Knight. Upon reaching maximum level, she acquired the Arcanum "The World," which amplifies all stats but doubles the penalties associated with skill and spell usage. Her arsenal includes abilities like "Chaos Void," "Highest Strength Enchant Hell Flame - Apocalypse," "Catastrophe," and the ultimate skill "Armageddon." After participating in defeating a shadow clone of the Colossus Lycagon, she obtained "Lycagon's Scar," further enhancing her abilities. She also possesses prestigious titles such as "Shadow Wolf Penetrator," "Survivor from the Abyss," and "Billion Earner."

Her SLF journey began shortly after launch. She joined her older sister Momo Saiga's clan, Schwarzer Wolf, where Momo operates as Psyger-100. Rei participated in early clan activities, including hunts targeting the Colossus Lycagon the Nightslayer, receiving Lycagon's Marking. She did not trigger the associated unique scenario and later had the curse cleansed by Eristella to maintain armor flexibility. Learning through Mana that Rakuro joined SLF as Sunraku, Rei actively sought encounters. Initial attempts in starting areas failed as Sunraku bypassed conventional progression. She eventually intervened to protect him from Player Killer clans like Ashura-Kai, facilitating his escape and later securing a successful friend request, marking the beginning of their in-game association, though her shyness complicated direct communication.

Rei plays significant roles in major events. She represented Schwarzer Wolf during a multi-clan meeting discussing strategies against the Seven Colossi, specifically sharing insights on Lycagon gained through Sunraku. She later accepted Sunraku's invitation to explore the Lightless Barrens, arriving exceptionally early. Their exploration led them to witness SF-Zoo's failed ambush on Lycagon. Rei expressed willingness to engage the Colossus, reassuring Sunraku her focus was on enjoyment. Teaming with Sunraku and Akane Akitsu (AkitsuAkane), they defeated Lycagon's shadow clone. This victory granted her access to a unique Bonus Scenario and Lycagon's Scar, alongside Sunraku. The group proceeded to defeat the area boss, the Usurper Dragon, before reaching Fifticia. Rei also explained Arcanum sub-job mechanics to Sunraku upon his encounter with the Sage of Awakening, Arcanoom, expressing astonishment at his rapid leveling compared to her year-long effort supported by her clan.

Her relationships extend beyond Sunraku. She maintains a close bond with her sister Momo (Psyger-100), leader of Schwarzer Wolf, often supporting her during clan activities. Mana Iwamaki serves as her primary confidante regarding her feelings for Rakuro. Interactions with other top players, like Arthur Pencilgon, involve conflict and cooperation; Rei defeated Pencilgon in a duel following the Ashura-Kai raid, dividing spoils with Sunraku and Oikatzo. Recent developments include participation in Wolfgang alliance activities and collaborative battles against foes like Atlantix Lepnorca alongside Sunraku and the fishman Araba.

Rei balances gaming with real-world responsibilities: school, judo practice, and a part-time job. While her affection for Rakuro remains a factor, her dedication to SLF and achievements stem from her own developed passion and commitment, establishing her as a respected and powerful entity within the game world.
