Meng Tian, also called Mou Ten, is the eldest son of Great General Mou Bu and grandson of the late Great General Mou Gou, inheriting the legacy of the prestigious Mou military family. He is the older brother of the strategist Mou Ki and studied strategy under his adoptive uncle, Shou Hei Kun, Qin's Chief of Military Affairs.
His appearance is notably feminine, featuring long, bright brown hair, a slender build, and no facial hair, with a distinctive small mole under his right eye. Early in his career, he wore a pink robe over his armor and wielded a thin jian sword. Upon rising in rank, his attire incorporated golden vambraces, a fur collar, pauldrons, a choker, and a cape; he later shortened his hair after becoming a general.
Outwardly friendly and carefree, often joking casually, Meng Tian conceals a cunning and calculating nature that surfaces during serious or critical moments. He readily leverages his family's influence but shows a rare lack of class prejudice among nobles. Deep loyalty drives him, evidenced when he risked his life protecting his father, Mou Bu, from the Ka Rin Army, nearly dying after confronting Chu commander Kan Mei.
Beginning as a 100-man commander in his early teens, Meng Tian participated in pivotal conflicts: the Anhou Campaign, the invasion of Sanyou, and the battle against Zhao's legendary Ren Pa. During the Sanyou Campaign, he collaborated with the Hi Shin and Gyoku Hou Units to eliminate Wei general Rin Ko, deliberately undertaking the most dangerous role to divert enemy forces. His leadership at the Battle of Kankoku Pass against the Coalition Army and tactical contributions during the Western Zhao Invasion against Ri Boku cemented his reputation. Following General Ma Kou's death in that invasion, Meng Tian swiftly took command of the collapsing Ma Kou Army, restoring half its strength and earning a temporary field promotion to General under Ou Sen, later made permanent after the Battle of Shukai Plains. He now commands the elite Gaku Ka Army.
Recognized as a prodigious military talent, declared by his grandfather as the Mou family's most gifted member in three generations, Meng Tian excels as a strategist, graduating top of his class from Shou Hei Kun's academy. His tactical acumen proved vital in operations like the coordinated strike against Rin Ko and defending Qin's left wing in Western Zhao. As a swordsman, he emphasizes precision, dexterity, and deflection, enabling him to hold his own against formidable foes like Kou Yoku and Ba Nan Ji, whom he blinded in one eye during a duel. His counterattacking and parrying style saved him from lethal strikes by adversaries such as Gaku Shou.
He shared a close bond with his grandfather Mou Gou, deeply affected by his death. His relationship with his father, Mou Bu, involves mutual care but also discomfort due to Mou Bu's intensity. Meng Tian frequently mediates between his rivals and friends, Ri Shin and Ou Hon, resolving their conflicts. He respects Shin's resolve and background, using his influence to lessen Shin's punishments and offering guidance. His adjutant and former guardian, Ko Zen, holds a special place, affectionately called "Gramps."
Statistically, Meng Tian's abilities evolved across campaigns: strength from 87 to 89, leadership from 85 to 90, and intelligence from 90 to 92, reflecting his journey from a promising commander to a central pillar of Qin's military.
