Description
Albert de Saloum is the second prince of the Saloum Kingdom and the older brother of Lloyd de Saloum. He shares a strong physical resemblance to his brother, with blond hair and blue eyes, and typically wears a white outfit complemented by a red vest. As a person, he is proud yet gentle and warm-hearted, though he can be absolutely ruthless in political matters. He handles his royal duties with complete seriousness, managing a significant portion of the kingdom's internal affairs and diplomacy, and treats his subordinates with care, earning him broad backing within the palace. His most defining characteristic is his deep, protective relationship with Lloyd, having recognized his younger brother’s immense magical talent early on. Albert is fiercely devoted to the point of being called a brocon, and he reacts with extreme measures—such as declaring war on the Assassin’s Guild under a mistaken belief—if he thinks Lloyd is threatened. Despite focusing on politics and diplomacy, Albert is a remarkably versatile individual. He is a proficient fighter and swordsman, mastering the Langris style of swordsmanship, and can learn spells and sword techniques simply by witnessing them, a talent that can surprise even powerful monsters. While not the most exceptional combatant in any single area compared to some siblings, his broad range of skills makes him a highly effective all-rounder. He is a formidable magic user capable of high-tier spells, including Infernum Immorcier (Scorching Flame Fang), which calls down flaming meteors. He possesses a technique called Mana Crown, a state achieved by stacking strengthening spells that creates a crown of black mana leaking from the head, granting a temporary burst of immense power with reduced backlash due to his prodigious nature. He wields a Spellbound Sword and can perform advanced dual-sword techniques like Nioh Severed. Albert leads an intense schedule of study and training, and he often accompanies Lloyd on expeditions, such as hunting dangerous monsters. After conflicts like the battle at Lordost Manor, he shows a reflective side, making graves for the fallen and teaching Lloyd about accountability and relying on family.
