Description
Gris Rubion is a character from the manga and anime series Gachiakuta. He is a member of the Cleaners, an organization dedicated to fighting monstrous creatures known as Trash Beasts, and serves in the role of a Supporter. Physically, Gris is a tall and well-built man in his early thirties. He has blond hair styled in a mullet, sharp eyebrows, a goatee, and light blue eyes. A defining feature of his appearance is a prominent scar that runs across his left eye. His typical attire consists of the standard Cleaners uniform, which he wears with a white shirt under a navy blue jacket, and he is also known to wear a cap identical to the one worn by his fellow Supporter, Follo.

Gris possesses a personality that balances an imposing initial impression with a fundamentally kind and honorable nature. Despite the fact that Supporters are generally unable to use Vital Instruments, the special weapons that most Cleaners rely on, Gris does not view his role as lesser. Instead, he takes genuine pride in his work and performs his duties with efficiency and dedication. His demeanor is that of a mentor, particularly towards the protagonist Rudo and the younger supporter Follo. Gris is patient and willing to listen, but also acts as a firm leader who ensures that those under his care do not become complacent or slack off. He is capable of extending respect to anyone he deems worthy, regardless of their status, and treats Rudo as an equal rather than a child when they are off duty.

Gris's primary motivation stems from a commitment to his comrades and to the mission of the Cleaners. He is a reliable figure who takes his responsibilities seriously, and his actions are consistently focused on the well-being and success of his team. In the story, Gris serves as one of Rudo's first allies in the Ground, helping the newcomer acclimate to his new and harsh environment from his early days at the Cleaners' headquarters. He plays a crucial supporting role in several major arcs. During the Raiders Trap Arc, he is ambushed and gravely wounded by the Raider Jabber Wonger, who stabs him with a poisoned Vital Instrument. Gris is brought to the brink of death but is saved by the healing abilities of a fellow Giver, Eishia Stilza. Following his recovery, he remains an active and vital member of the team, joining missions such as the journey to Penta and traveling to Dan Dulse, where the group is again attacked by the Raiders. In the later Information Broker Arc, he teams up with Follo for a specific mission, demonstrating his continued reliability in critical situations.

Gris forms several key relationships within the Cleaners, most notably acting as a mentor and guardian figure to both Rudo and Follo. He is one of the first to recognize and thank Rudo for his efforts, specifically for protecting Follo, and encourages him to find confidence in himself. He maintains a similar dynamic with Follo, offering guidance and recognition on his behalf. Gris also holds great respect and trust for his colleague Riyo, believing firmly in her abilities as a fighter. As a leader among the Supporters, his competence and steady presence are said to make the work of his superior, Enjin, considerably easier.

His most notable ability is his immense physical strength, which compensates for his lack of a Vital Instrument. Gris is strong enough to make the protagonist Rudo wince with a simple handshake. In combat against Trash Beasts, he can crush their notoriously tough armor with just one hand and hurl the creatures across vast distances. Beyond his brute force, Gris demonstrates sharp instincts and survival skills in battle, which allows him to handle Trash Beast encounters on a daily basis without any special powers. He also possesses natural leadership qualities, which he uses to keep the other Supporters organized, disciplined, and focused on their mission.
