TV-Series
Description
Follo Tunito is a nineteen-year-old young man who serves as a member of the support team for the organization known as the Cleaners. Standing at 175 centimeters tall, Follo has a slim build with short black hair that features sharp bangs falling between his golden eyes and longer hair at the back resembling a mullet. He is almost always seen wearing a grey cap with a pair of grey and black rectangular goggles resting on top, paired with the standard supporter uniform that includes a tan coat with brown striped sleeves, white gloves, dark gray pants, and dark brown boots.
Follo's personality is defined by a strong sense of justice that initially motivated him to join the Cleaners with the goal of eliminating Trash Beasts. On the surface, he presents himself as a polite, kind, and friendly individual, which allows him to connect with others and put them at ease. However, beneath this outward demeanor, Follo grapples with a profound inferiority complex. He harbors deep-seated resentment toward those he perceives as looking down on people who have lived ordinary, faceless lives, and this insecurity drives much of his behavior. To cope with these feelings and the need to feel valuable, he dedicates himself wholeheartedly to his role as a Supporter, constantly going above and beyond in his efforts to be useful to his allies. While this dedication is commendable, it can lead him to overextend himself, sometimes with negative consequences. He takes great pride in his work and has expressed that he will continue to support others even if he eventually becomes a Giver himself.
As a Supporter, Follo currently lacks a jinki, the personal treasured item that would allow him to become a full-fledged Giver with special abilities. Despite this limitation, he is actively cultivating his own special item with the goal of eventually becoming a Giver. In the meantime, he provides essential physical manpower for the Givers during battles. Even without powers, Follo has demonstrated remarkable physical strength, being seen damaging and launching Trash Beasts into the air during combat. He owns a hammer that he uses for battle, which is potentially the jinki he is cultivating for his future awakening.
Throughout the story, Follo has been involved in several key missions with the Cleaners. During an early cleanup mission, he alerted others to incoming Aberrant Beasts and began supporting Riyou in battle, but found himself backed into a corner after tripping on a rock. He was saved from a Trash Beast by Rudo Surebrec, an experience that left him shocked and grateful, and he tipped his hat as thanks. Following this, he participated in evacuating nearby towns due to the appearance of a new beast type. Follo later attended Rudo's abyss welcoming party and was subsequently assigned to a mission responding to a merchant's request, where he and other supporters became trapped in a basement by a group called the Vandals. During this incident, he witnessed a vandal stab his comrade Griss and tended to Griss wounds afterward, barely keeping him alive while Rudo fought another opponent. Upon returning to headquarters, Follo was sobbing over Griss hospital bed, and Griss comforted him.
Follo's relationships with other characters are significant to his development. He places great faith in Griss Lubion, opening up to him about his reasons for joining the Cleaners, and Griss takes care of him in return. He also has great respect for Riyou, trusting her to finish the job during cleanups. His relationship with Rudo has evolved considerably over time. Initially saved by Rudo, Follo later found himself trying to physically hold Rudo back from pursuing a dangerous course of action, urging him to calm down. As the story progressed, tension developed between the two, with Follo becoming increasingly frustrated about his position as a Supporter. He has been on the job longer than Rudo, yet it is Rudo who receives his own mission, which feels unfair to Follo despite making sense given Rudo potential. This tension stems from repeated miscommunications between them, with Follo wanting to help Rudo but feeling pushed away without understanding why. Later in the narrative, Follo finally awakens as a Giver, with his hammer becoming his Vital Instrument.
In terms of personal preferences, Follo likes souvenirs and accompaniment, while his primary dislike is people who look down on him. According to information about the character, he once went through a phase of wearing perfume, but currently his body odor smells like fabric softener.
