Description
Chiwa is a young girl who resides in the slums of the Sphere, the floating world where the story begins. She holds significant personal importance to the protagonist, Rudo, as his childhood friend and first love. Her caring and attentive nature towards Rudo is the foundation of his deep affection for her, and she is shown to reciprocate his feelings to some extent.

In the narrative, Chiwa's primary role is a pivotal emotional trigger. When Rudo is falsely accused of murdering his adoptive father, Regto, Chiwa does not believe in his innocence. She turns against him, quickly siding with the accusers and denouncing him as a murderer. This betrayal, occurring at his moment of greatest need, is a devastating blow that deepens Rudo's sense of injustice and fuels his initial despair. Following Rudo's exile to the Abyss, Chiwa does not appear again in a physical form, only manifesting in Rudo's hallucinations. In these visions, he still envisions her as someone he wants to protect, indicating the lasting and complicated impact she has had on him.

Her key relationship is exclusively with Rudo, defined by the stark contrast between her former kindness and her ultimate rejection of him. Before the betrayal, she also shared a warm rapport with Regto. Chiwa's character development is largely static within the story, as she serves as a symbol of the world Rudo lost. She does not possess any notable abilities or powers, as she is an ordinary resident of the Sphere's slums whose significance comes from her emotional connection to the protagonist rather than any combat or supernatural skill.
