Description
Draggie-kun, also known as Ryūjin, is a character from the anime Go! Go! Loser Ranger! who serves as the mascot of the Dragon Rangers, the heroic organization at the center of the story. This character is small and round in shape, resembling a purple dragon with a stubby tail, two short yellow horns on top of the head, and two longer yellow horns attached near the temples. Very little is known about Draggie-kun's past or how they came to hold their current position within the Ranger Force.
In terms of personality, Draggie-kun presents as authoritative and fairly serious, though they can also display a sarcastic side. The character also shows a certain degree of vanity, having expressed appreciation for their own body as a notable quality. Within the Ranger organization, Draggie-kun holds the official role of mascot for the Dragon Rangers, which places them in a position of some authority despite their small stature.
Draggie-kun appears at several key moments throughout the story. During the R1000 Arc, they were stationed at the Red Garrison and were the one who alerted the Dragon Keepers to the presence of an imposter attempting to steal the Red Keeper's Divine Tool. Later, at the Holy Banquet held by the Dragon Keepers, Draggie-kun attempted to scold the Blue Keeper for fighting with his own allies but was told to be quiet. They also expressed disappointment in the Red Keeper for allowing the loss of the Divine Tool.
When summoned by Eigen Urabe to the forest, Draggie-kun assessed the situation and proceeded to summon the Red Keeper in response. During the conflict with the Invader Rights Association, Draggie-kun observed the Red Keeper's fight alongside Shinya Kiritani, noting that the Red Keeper seemed able to access the full extent of the Divine Tool without obstruction. The character also took action to prevent reporters from recording the Green Battalion's fight with Yakushi Usukubo. After the war concluded, Draggie-kun sided with Shinya Kiritani when he moved to replace the Red Keeper with a clone.
Draggie-kun maintains a notable relationship with Shinya Kiritani, appearing alongside him more frequently than with the other Dragon Keepers, suggesting a fairly close working association. The character also assisted in the Green Garrison during an investigation into a new drug circulating in the slums and appeared alongside Shinya Kiritani when leaving to respond to an emergency situation during a live broadcast. Regarding notable abilities, Draggie-kun has demonstrated the capacity to summon the Red Keeper when the situation calls for it, indicating some level of influence or connection to the higher-ranking Rangers.
