Description
Scoop operates as a miner and thief within Chimney Town's underground tunnels. His first encounter with the protagonists occurs when they accidentally activate a mine cart. He exhibits extreme talkativeness, speaking rapidly without pauses and struggling to control his rambling. This verbosity sometimes causes problems, such as inadvertently revealing key plans during attempts to distract adversaries.

He offers the protagonists three wishes in exchange for their silence about his illicit activities. His initial aid involves using specialized explosives to create an escape route from the mine. These explosives later become essential to the protagonists' plan for dispersing the town's oppressive smoke cover.

Scoop possesses knowledge of Chimney Town's hidden history and economic structure. He reveals the town was founded 250 years earlier by rebels fleeing a collapsed society, who implemented a decaying currency system called "L" to prevent wealth hoarding. This led to their isolation and the creation of the smoke screen. Scoop personally shared this history with Bruno, Lubicchi's father, during conversations in a local bar.

In the climax, he provides the protagonists with explosives and creates a diversion by lecturing the antagonistic Inquisitors on unrelated topics like worker ants. This action grants the protagonists critical time to advance their plan, directly supporting the successful revelation of the starry sky.

The stage musical adaptation retains his core traits while modifying his portrayal. His talkativeness expands into a narrative function where he breaks the fourth wall to address the audience and prompt crowd participation. His occupation remains unchanged, but his design incorporates mole-like animal motifs. The adaptation amplifies traits like drunkenness, frequently showing him with alcohol. His role in the climax shifts toward active rebellion alongside other townspeople against authority figures.
