Description
Natalia Luxembourg is a supporting character in Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture. She is a Britannian noblewoman and the only daughter and heiress of the Luxembourg family. Due to her father’s illness, she assumed leadership of her household while still in her teens and has since served as a key administrative figure within the Neo-Britannian Empire, where she is recognized as a central figure in its administrative sphere. Natalia is kind-hearted and holds progressive views; she petitioned for the creation of a special zone within Hokkaido for Japanese citizens, opposing the systemic discrimination fomented by the empire. Her background is closely tied to the Sumeragi family: the Luxembourgs relocated to the Hokkaido Block because of their close bond with Princess Sherry me Britannia, and Natalia became a close friend of Sherry. After Sherry’s marriage to Jugo Sumeragi, Natalia remained a confidant. She has known Sherry’s daughter, Sakuya Sumeragi, since childhood and is one of the very few people aware that Rozé is Sakuya in disguise. Motivated by her loyalty to Sherry and her affection for Sakuya, Natalia secretly supports Sakuya’s mission to rescue her friend Sakura Haruyanaginomiya and free Hokkaido. She offers a café as a hideout and uses her official position to gather and pass sensitive government information to Sakuya, effectively balancing her duties as a Neo-Britannian official with covert resistance activities. Another notable event in her past is protecting the young Emperor Callis al Britannia from an assassination attempt during a tour, an act that earned her his deep trust. In the story, Natalia operates primarily behind the scenes, providing logistical and informational support to the protagonists while maintaining her administrative role. Her key relationships include her friendship with the late Sherry, her protective stance toward Sakuya, and her trusted standing with Emperor Callis. Over the course of the series, she demonstrates administrative brilliance and personal courage, staying steadfast even after Callis’s death. Her notable abilities lie in governance, political maneuvering, and resourcefulness, which she uses to aid the liberation effort without openly defecting.
