Description
Eluk is a non-player character from the world of Shangri-La Frontier, taking the form of a Vorpal Bunny. She is recognized as the eldest of triplets and is the older sister of Emul, a character more frequently seen accompanying the protagonist Sunraku. Her role is that of a shopkeeper, operating a specialized tailoring or trimming shop within the Rabbit Palace, which is the home of the rabbit tribe. The specific service she offers is skill trimming and combination, allowing players to link multiple combo skills or otherwise modify their abilities.
In terms of appearance, Eluk is a rabbit with white fur and drooping ears. Some descriptions note her fur has a slightly pinkish hue. She has a round face and her eyes are often depicted as perpetually closed, giving her a calm and relaxed expression. She is adorned with a pink cloak, a golden necklace, and large earrings, and also wears piercings on her ears. Her outward demeanor is notably serene and gentle, speaking in a slow, drawn-out, and languid tone. This relaxed and friendly facade, however, masks a powerful and persistent avarice. Eluk is deceptively greedy, possessing a sharp and aggressive business sense. When a player visits her shop, she will relentlessly try to sell them skills. It is said that the only way to refuse her sales pitch is to have absolutely no money on hand; otherwise, she will use subtle pressure to force a purchase. Despite her high-pressure tactics, the merchandise she offers is consistently powerful and useful, meaning the player never receives worthless or low-quality items—only an empty wallet.
Eluk's primary motivation appears to be her business, driven by an insatiable greed for in-game currency. Her role in the story is functional yet memorable, serving as a service provider for key characters. She becomes directly involved during the Grave Guardian arc, when Sunraku learns about skill trimming. Having reached level 51, he seeks her out in the Rabbit Palace on Emul's recommendation, as she has a better selection than the trimmers in the city. During this encounter, she first links six combo skills for him before successfully pushing him to purchase additional, extremely expensive skills under the guise of offering a discount. Her key relationships are primarily with her sisters, specifically as the eldest sibling of her triplet set and the older sister of Emul. While Eluk herself does not undergo significant personal development in the narrative, her role expands the world-building, illustrating the depth and specialization of services available in hidden locations like the Rabbit Palace. Her primary ability lies not in combat but in her profession as a skilled skill trimmer and gardener, capable of manipulating and combining abilities in ways that standard in-game vendors cannot. Her notorious sales technique, which borders on coercive persuasion, is arguably another of her defining abilities as a shopkeeper.
