Description
Amber Idonokan is a central heroine and the princess of the Dwarven Kingdom of Idonokan, though she is not a biological dwarf but an artificially created construct, a magical automaton or homunculus made by the last survivors of her race. She was created after a curse from the Abyss King decimated her people, designed to serve as the vessel for the Ring of Earth and safeguard the hopes of the dwarven lineage. Physically, she has striking emerald-green hair and eyes kept in a short, practical cut, with mechanical-looking ears, diamond-shaped pupils, and a dark material covering her limbs and neck that never removes. A rhombus-shaped crystal embedded in her chest houses a powerful beam cannon called the Mega Flasher. Her figure is slender with a smaller bust. Her personality is analytical, direct, and pragmatic, with a dry, cutting sense of humor. She speaks in a logical and straightforward manner, initially claiming not to feel loneliness or a need for emotional bonding, and states that her bond with the Ring King is absolute from the start. Despite her detached exterior, she is not reclusive; during a long hibernation in a shrine on Earth, she would occasionally descend to a local town and interact with its inhabitants, sometimes being mistaken for a local god or spirit. Her primary motivation is the survival of the dwarven race, as she carries within her the genetic matrix of the last dwarven princess, granting her the unique ability to reproduce. She views producing an heir as a solemn duty rather than a matter of romance. In the story, she is first encountered in a shrine overlooking Satou's hometown in the real world, awakening upon his return and entrusting him with the Ring of Earth. She is a formidable combatant, skilled in hand-to-hand combat, earth magic, hacking dwarven golems, and generating a powerful light from her eyes, while her Mega Flasher can melt the earth and annihilate enemies. Before the final battle, she receives the ultimate legacy of the dwarven people, a secret weapon key to victory. Her relationships evolve: with Satou, her transactional sense of duty transforms into a genuine personal wish to have his child; she has a sharp rivalry with Saphir Maasa, defeats Granart (spurring Granart to study magic), serves as an emotional anchor for Nefritis, and has her romantic moments with Satou interrupted by Hime. Her character development centers on moving from a being who claims to feel nothing to one who embraces genuine emotion and personal desire, culminating in her decision to bear a child out of her own will rather than obligation.
