Description
Yasuko Yaegashi manages Akihabara's pig-themed Oinky Doink Café. She wears her dark brown hair in a ponytail secured by a pink hairpin on the left side, with black eyes. Her standard attire includes a white long-sleeved dress shirt, black button-up vest, red necktie, "pig snout" lapel pin, black dress pants, and black high-heel shoes—distinctly avoiding the maid outfits typical of franchise managers. During specific events, she temporarily adopts different looks: a café maid outfit with long black stockings while impersonating another character, or a blazer with a dark purple necktie for a funeral.
Lazy, secretive, and financially irresponsible, Yasuko habitually gambles and mismanages funds, accruing substantial debts to the Creatureland Group. Her schemes to resolve these often worsen situations, like dispatching new employees on deadly errands. Despite this, she develops genuine care for her staff. She acts as a secondary mother figure to Nagomi Wahira, supporting her during a sisterhood ceremony and expressing concern for her well-being. She recruits Shiipon while the latter is in high school and retains higher tolerance from Shiipon than other employees.
Previously a maid, Yasuko discovered the café’s panda mascot Okachimachi lingering outside and brought her into the fold. Yasuko appears among the few aware of Okachimachi’s true identity, occasionally offering her bamboo or sharing matching hair accessories.
Yasuko’s relationships with staff evolve: initially exploiting Nagomi, she later shows protectiveness, smiling and waving during the Lady Omoe Festival. She collaborates with Shiipon on high-stakes gambles involving organ collateral, maintaining Shiipon’s loyalty through transformative events. Though Yumechi frequently criticizes Yasuko’s irresponsibility, both cooperate for the café’s interests, like planning celebrations or executing debt-resolving schemes.
Moments of accountability and solidarity mark her development. After neglecting duties, she rushes to aid maids during the Akiba Maid Festival and witnesses Nagomi’s crowning as Lady Omoe. When external threats target the café, she actively participates in reclaiming and protecting it, notably backed by Shiipon. Her recurring dream of retiring in Hawaii surrounded by attractive men serves as a personal motivator, unrealized within the series.
