Krentz is a supporting character in Übel Blatt, known in the original language as Kurentsu and occasionally romanized as Krentel. In the official history promoted by the Seven Heroes, the Lances of Betrayal were the warriors who deserted and turned against the empire during the Wischtech campaign, and Krentz is publicly remembered as a traitor. The truth, however, is that he and his three comrades were the actual victors of the mission. They pressed on after the seven who would become the false heroes abandoned the quest, successfully defeating the dark forces of Wischtech, only to be ambushed and slaughtered by those same seven upon their return. Krentz died in that betrayal, and his name was dishonored.
