Ena Banshōya is a second-year student at Yurigaoka Girls Academy. During her first year, she served in the first generation of the Alfheim Legion, achieving significant accomplishments. After Alfheim disbanded, she accepted an invitation from her roommate Soraha Amano to join a new Legion. This transition led to a period of diminished performance and confidence for Ena. She overcame this slump upon becoming a test-wielder for the Einherjar CHARM, an experience that restored her self-assurance. Alongside Titia Paumgartner, she ranks among the first Lilies to fully master the Circlet Bless skill.

Her personal interests include a particular fondness for tropical fish, with the protopterus annectens being her favorite species, and she has a significant fear of dogs. Her surname Banshōya combines the characters for "turn/number in a series" and "artisan/carpenter" (番匠) with "valley" (谷). Her given name Ena derives from "rely on" (依) and "apple tree" (奈). In the second generation of Legion Álfheimr, she holds membership under Soraha Amano's command.
