He is introduced early in the story as one of the protagonist Hobin Yoo's primary tormentors and the first major antagonist Hobin has to overcome. His most significant relationship is with Hobin, which evolves from an abusive dynamic between bully and victim into a rivalry that ends with Ppakgo's defeat at Hobin's hands. Ppakgo does not receive a redemption arc; instead, his development is a downward trajectory in which his carefully constructed public persona collapses once his private cruelty becomes known.
