Description
Pico, a blonde, effeminate pre-teen, spends summers working at his grandfather’s seaside café. His naive longing for companionship draws him to Tamotsu, a man who misreads his gender and later gifts him feminine clothing. Though initially resistant, Pico adopts the attire to foster connection, only to later rebel—cutting his hair and reclaiming masculine dress—as he confronts Tamotsu’s objectification.

Seeking solace in a forest, Pico befriends Chico, a younger boy. Their bond turns intimate, with Pico assuming a mentorship role despite his inexperience, reversing his earlier passivity. Tension emerges when he meets CoCo, an enigmatic boy with supernatural undertones. Attraction to CoCo strains Pico’s ties to Chico, culminating in a threesome that reflects his growing emotional nuance and adaptability.

Pico’s grandfather’s indifference to Tamotsu’s advances underscores his isolation, while his interactions with Chico and CoCo trace a path toward self-determination. Revised narratives omit explicit details but preserve his quest for identity amid exploitative dynamics.

Frequent scenes of Pico swimming nude or lightly clothed juxtapose innocence with exposure. His transient, power-imbalanced relationships mirror adolescence—a dance of external influence and fragile self-discovery.
