TV-Series
Description
Ichiko, a member of the content-creating vampire group Mayonaka Punch, serves as the manager of Banpai Manor, the communal residence where she and the other vampires live. Despite often making childish remarks and behaving in a playful manner, she genuinely perceives herself as the responsible big sister of the group. This self-image is contrasted by her deep appreciation for cute things and her very open adoration for her fellow vampire, Live, whom she holds in particularly high regard.

Her true nature is that of a vampire who was originally human, a status that came with a difficult transition. Turning against her will, she was forced to abandon her human family and has since lived for over a century. Being approximately 110 years old, she was born in the Taisho era of Japan, which explains her struggles with foreign words and her habit of communicating almost exclusively in hiragana when using a smartphone.

Ichiko's primary motivation stems from her past tragedy and her subsequent recovery. Having lost her original family, she places immense value on the new undead family she has found with Live and the other members of Mayonaka Punch. Her emotional core is not defined by the sorrow of her past, but by the fear of losing her present connections. This is most evident when the demolition of Banpai Manor is announced; she becomes deeply distressed while other members are more ambivalent, revealing how much the physical home and the communal bonds it represents mean to her.

In the story, her role is crucial as the emotional anchor and caretaker of the group. Her backstory reveals the origin of her found family, as she was taken in by Live when she was a homeless and newly turned vampire. A key trait is her practice of cooking human meals, even though vampires do not require food for sustenance. She does this to recreate the atmosphere of a family dining together, an effort that eventually succeeded in bringing her disparate housemates to the same table. Her key relationship is undoubtedly with Live, who was the first to welcome her and whom she admires deeply.

Throughout the series, Ichiko shows a sense of peace and resilience. Having had a century to process her trauma, she approaches her past in a matter-of-fact way, allowing her to focus on the present. While her abilities are not primarily combative, her notable skills include her organizational role as the manager of the manor and her unique use of cooking as a means of forging emotional ties, a practice that became the foundation of her new family's closeness.
