Description
Chika Chinami, also known by the nickname Gyogyo Girl, is a classmate of the protagonist who is transported to another world. She belongs to a group of athletic girls, specifically being a member of the class's womens' gym group and the swimming club. She has a physical description that includes blue eyes and purple hair cut to neck-length, and she stands at a height of 165 centimeters.

Chika possesses a strong and determined personality, particularly when it comes to physical activities. She is a skilled swimmer, having been fond of the water since childhood. Her abilities were such that she was able to quickly surpass the protagonist, Haruka, in swimming skill after he joined the club. Despite her own talent, those around her believe her true aptitude might lie in coaching rather than being a competitor. This is exemplified when the protagonist asked her to teach him how to swim; Chika initially suggested he train under a professional coach, but she agreed to teach him herself when he expressed a desire to learn from her specifically because he saw how much she loved swimming.

Her primary nickname, Gyogyo, stems directly from the character for fish in her name and was coined by the protagonist. This moniker became a source of frustration for her. Upon first waking up in the new world as a fish, the protagonist called her "Kyogyoko." Over time, he began teasing her with various fish-related names, and the nickname eventually spread to the point where even the other girls in her group began using it, much to her annoyance.

In terms of combat ability, Chika is portrayed as exceptionally powerful within her peer group. She is recognized as the strongest swordfighter among the class's women and earns the title of Sword King. Her talent with a blade is so immense that the protagonist had to request a special sword be forged for her by a blacksmith, as a sword he had initially made himself could not withstand her skill. She was the first among the group to receive such a custom weapon. This relationship with the protagonist is a key part of her story, as he supports her growth by acknowledging her talents and providing her with the tools necessary to express them fully. Her development showcases a journey from a skilled athlete on Earth to a formidable warrior in the other world, while maintaining her core personality as a dedicated and talented individual who takes her pursuits seriously.
