Description
Piggymaru is a small, pig-shaped slime and the first companion of the protagonist Touka Mimori in the anime Failure Frame. He has a round, plump body with a pale, semi-translucent appearance and a lively, expressive face. The name Piggymaru, also rendered as Pigimaru, comes from the "pigi" sounds he makes. He lived in a dark forest near the old Disposal Ruins, where he was regularly bullied by other slimes. When Touka emerged from the ruins, he found Piggymaru being attacked by a group of slimes and saved him. Seeing the small slime struggle and keep fighting despite being outnumbered reminded Touka of his own circumstances, and that moment began their partnership.
In personality, Piggymaru is friendly, affectionate, and highly expressive despite being unable to speak in words. He has a strong sense of loyalty and a deep master-servant bond with Touka, following him constantly and acting on instinct rather than careful reasoning. He is very sensitive to Touka's emotions and moods, and he is brave and devoted, willing to put himself in danger to help or protect his companion.
