Description
Erdomaid DittiJohn, also known as the Blaze Death King, is a character who appears as a homeroom teacher at the Demon King Academy during the events of the second season. He is a great demon of considerable power who originally reigned during the Mythical Age as one of the Four Evil Kings. In the present era, he is assigned to teach class 1-2, the same class attended by Anos Voldigoad.

In terms of personality, Erdomaid is characterized as bold, confident, and somewhat theatrical. He carries himself with a twisted smile and has a tendency to look down upon his enemies. However, he is not incapable of offering praise where he feels it is due, having done so for worthy individuals like Anos. His admiration for the Demon King of Tyranny is noted to be particularly strong, though it is also described as distorted and obsessive. Misha Necron has specifically commented on the unusual and warped nature of this fascination.

The character's motivations are deeply intertwined with his view of Anos Voldigoad. Rather than acting out of simple malice, Erdomaid is driven by a desire to see the Demon King's power reach new heights. He seeks out powerful enemies and creates challenging situations, not caring for his own safety, all with the intention of providing a worthy opponent for Anos. This unique drive leads him to take extreme actions, including willingly offering his own body to the Heavenly Father God Nousgalia to serve as a vessel. By allowing Nousgalia to possess him, he hopes to engineer a new and formidable adversary for the demon king.

Erdomaid's primary role in the narrative is as a catalyst for the central conflict of the second season. He is introduced to the students as a new instructor, and he commands immediate respect by presenting a Zekt contract signed by the Seven Elder Demon Emperors, which confirms the truth of his statements regarding Anos's identity. During his first lesson, he confronts the class's skepticism by declaring Avos Dihevia to be a false demon king and revealing that Anos is the true reincarnated ruler. He uses his authority to demand respect from the students, particularly the royalist faction, declaring their status as royalty to be meaningless in the current era. The most critical aspect of his role, however, is the revelation that his body has been taken over by Nousgalia. In this state, he announces the existence of a new Child of God created specifically to destroy Anos Voldigoad. This event sets the main plot of the season into motion.

A key relationship for Erdomaid is his complex dynamic with Anos. While he holds immense respect and obsession for the Demon King, Anos is immediately aware of the deception. Upon their first meeting, Anos sees through his disguise and identifies him as Nousgalia. When Nousgalia in Erdomaid's body attempts to kill the dissenting students, Anos intervenes by using the Magic Sword of Destruction against him. Instead of completely destroying him, Anos kills and then reincarnates him, leaving him with only ten percent of his original power and forcing him to continue his duties as a teacher while under Anos's watchful eye. Erdomaid also holds respect for Shin Reglia, Anos's former right-hand man, considering him a powerful individual worthy of his station.

Erdomaid shows some development throughout the story, largely centered on his internal resistance to the god possessing him. While he allowed Nousgalia to use his form, he was not a passive servant. He secretly worked on perfecting a spell within his own roots, with the ultimate goal of usurping the god's divine power for himself. When Anos noticed this effort, he triggered the spell, allowing Erdomaid to successfully seize the power of the god. After this event, he continues his role as a teacher at the Demon King Academy, taking a particular interest in a student named Naya, whom he enjoys teasing with nicknames.

Among Erdomaid's notable abilities is his command of the demonic power befitting one of the Four Evil Kings, a status that made him second only to Anos in power during the Mythical Age. He is also capable of casting magic to manipulate the environment, such as making all the chairs and desks disappear from a classroom. His most significant display of power, however, is not entirely his own, as it comes from his possession by the deity Nousgalia. This possession grants him the authority and abilities of the Heavenly Father God, making him a formidable antagonist before Anos weakens and subdues him.
