Description
Crushman, also known by the title Perfect Palm, is a character who appears in the Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc as a member of the Perfect Large Numbers. He is classified as a Perfect Chojin, a race of powerful, ancient beings who consider themselves the pinnacle of evolution. His homeland is Pakistan.
In terms of physical appearance, Crushman has a tall, humanoid form but is notably semi-mechanical, with a body composition that is more metallic than organic. He stands 283 centimeters tall and weighs 880 kilograms. His legs and forearms are covered in sharp, protective plating, and his face is hidden behind a full mask made of a similar material, with an iron plate covering one of his eyes. His most defining feature is the set of six large, spiked bars that protrude from his back, which are his primary weapons.
True to the nature of most Perfect Chojin, Crushman possesses a personality marked by immense pride and a cold, brutal efficiency. He looks down upon those he considers inferior and maintains a cool, calculating demeanor even in the heat of battle. This stoic composure persists even in defeat, as he adheres strictly to the code of the Perfect Chojin, which demands one take their own life upon failure.
Crushman's motivations are aligned with the Perfect Large Numbers' overarching goal to subjugate the Justice Chojin and Devil Chojin, whom they see as unworthy and chaotic. He first appears alongside his comrades in an assault on the Justice Chojin, specifically targeting Geronimo before being ordered to stand by. As the Perfect Large Numbers disperse across the globe for a tournament, Crushman travels to East Germany, positioning himself at the Brandenburg Gate. He anticipates a fight with Brocken Jr., but due to Brocken being in suspended animation, he is instead met by the Devil Chojin, Mister Khamen.
In his first match against Mister Khamen, Crushman initially finds himself at a disadvantage. Khamen, who can render himself invisible, bites down on Crushman's carotid artery and attempts to drain his bodily fluids to mummify him. However, Crushman reveals his semi-mechanical nature, as Khamen's cheeks explode with nuts and bolts when he tries to drink from him. Crushman declares he cannot be mummified because his body is primarily steel, not water. Following this revelation, Crushman successfully traps Khamen within his signature technique, the Iron Glove, an iron maiden-like attack where the spiked bars on his back enclose around the opponent, impaling and defeating him.
Crushman's key relationship and most significant battle is with Brocken Jr. After the first stage of the tournament concludes, Crushman and the remaining Perfect Large Numbers reveal themselves and launch themselves onto steps of a pyramid for the second stage, with Crushman taking his position on the second step. He is eventually matched against Brocken Jr., who has since recovered. This fight showcases the full extent of Crushman's abilities. He demonstrates variations of his technique, including the Leg Iron Glove, which traps a limb in spikes from his legs, and the Iron Discus, where he closes the bars around his own body to form a rotating, spiked projectile that crashes into his opponent.
Throughout the battle, Crushman uses his abilities strategically, employing the Iron Glove not just as an offensive weapon but as a nearly impenetrable form of self-defense. He patiently waits for Brocken Jr. to exhaust himself, showcasing his calculating fighting style. Brocken Jr. is pushed to his limit, sustaining severe injuries to his hands, and is ultimately caught and crushed within the Iron Glove. Believing his opponent to be dead, Crushman dumps Brocken's body from the ring. However, Brocken survives and, reinvigorated by the power of friendship, launches one final desperate attack. Brocken Jr. breaks one of the spiked bars from Crushman's body and delivers a devastating finishing blow, the Red Rain of Berlin.
Following his defeat, Crushman demonstrates the ultimate expression of his character and the Perfect Chojin ideology. Without hesitation or emotion, he reaches into his own chest and destroys his heart, committing suicide to atone for his loss. His lifeless body is then carried away on a stretcher, concluding his role in the arc.
