Description
Noor is the main protagonist of the series. He was orphaned at a young age and raised with stories from his father about adventurers, which sparked a lasting dream to become one himself. After being told as a child that he had no talent, he retreated to the mountains and spent more than a decade training in isolation. During this time, he dedicated himself entirely to the single skill of parrying. His relentless effort elevated this ability to an extraordinary level, enabling him to deflect thousands of sword strikes in an instant and even withstand powerful magical attacks such as the breath of a calamity-class dragon.

Noor is humble to an extreme degree and possesses a very limited view of his own capabilities, often underestimating himself. His long period of isolation left him with minimal social interaction and a poor understanding of how the world works, which frequently leads to misunderstandings and humorous situations. Despite his lack of worldly knowledge, he is earnest, sincere, and determined to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an adventurer.

His motivation is driven by the desire to live the adventurer life he was so inspired by in his youth. He arrives in the royal capital of the Kingdom of Clays with that goal in mind, only to find that the only skill he believes he has—parrying—is considered useless by most. Unbeknownst to him, his power is already on a level far beyond ordinary adventurers. As he pursues low-level quests and tries to prove himself, he becomes unintentionally entangled in major incidents threatening the kingdom, including assassination attempts on Princess Lynneburg, political tensions with neighboring nations, and confrontations with powerful monsters.

His key relationships include Princess Lynneburg, whom he helps protect; the Adventurer’s Guild staff who oversee his quests; and several legendary heroes of the kingdom—such as Ines, the Divine Shield, and Gilbert, the Spear Sovereign—who once trained him and recognized his growth and potential even though they could only teach him the basics. Noor also develops a bond with other characters he meets on his journey, including a demonfolk boy and a black‑bandaged man. Throughout the story, he remains unaware of how others perceive his immense strength, treating everyone with the same earnest and humble demeanor.

Noor’s defining ability is his Parry skill, which he has honed to an absurd degree. It allows him to deflect not only physical weapons but also energy attacks and massive area‑of‑effect magic. His timing, speed, and precision are so refined that he can parry attacks from multiple opponents simultaneously. Despite having only this single skill, his physical conditioning and reflexes make him one of the most powerful characters in the setting, though he himself never acknowledges that fact. His development centers on gradually gaining a more accurate understanding of his own place in the world while remaining true to his simple, good‑natured character.
