Description
Leopold Auvergne is the 45-year-old Duke who serves as the kingdom’s Minister of Finance and is the father of Grace Auvergne. He was originally the second son of a rural noble family before being adopted into the Auvergne household as a son-in-law. Despite his high position and considerable capabilities, he privately harbors a deep-seated complex about his origins, feeling insecure about having married into the family and attained his role through adoption rather than birthright.

This inner conflict shapes much of his personality. In public, Leopold is pragmatic, serious, and competent, carrying out his ministerial duties with a no-nonsense attitude. He can present a gruff exterior, but those close to him see a more relaxed side. He is especially moved by the empathy his daughter Grace shows him when she acknowledges his feelings as a fellow father, an interaction that offers him genuine solace. At home, he often visits a character named Waltz, finding relaxation in playing Beyblade together.

Leopold’s role in the story is primarily that of a supporting figure. He appears as Grace’s father in the world of the otome game into which Kenzaburo Tondabayashi has been reincarnated. While the narrative focuses on Grace’s school life and her efforts to avoid the villainess route, Leopold provides a familial backdrop, and his complex gradually softens through his interactions with his daughter.

His notable abilities lie in administrative and fiscal management, befitting his position as finance minister. No magical or combat skills are highlighted in the available information. His key relationships include his wife Jacqueline, who is the biological heir of the Auvergne line, and his daughter Grace, whose sincere words help him begin to overcome his long-held insecurity.
