TV-Series
Description
Miru is a robot created by humanity in the distant future. Unlike many robots in fiction, Miru is not equipped with any weapons. Its fundamental design is centered around assistance and construction rather than combat. Miru possesses the ability to transcend space and time, traveling across different eras, locations, and even parallel worlds to meet people from all walks of life. One of its most distinctive traits is its capacity to alter its shape and appearance, allowing it to adapt seamlessly to the various environments and challenges it encounters.

Miru's personality is defined by a quiet, observant nature and a deep desire to help. It is not portrayed as perfect or omniscient; instead, Miru learns, grows, and evolves through its interactions with people, gradually overcoming its own uncertainties. Rather than simply observing from a distance, Miru actively engages in dialogue and takes practical action. It serves as a catalyst that inspires people to move forward using their own strength. The robot listens to the problems and struggles of those it meets and offers support, encouraging new beginnings without violence. Its core motivation is to accompany people through their struggles and work together with them to create a better future.

In the overarching story of the anthology series, Miru acts as the connecting thread between five distinct episodes set in different times and places. It meets individuals who, despite their hardships, live their lives with determination. By helping these people overcome immense obstacles, Miru sets off what is described as a butterfly effect of dramatic change, guiding society toward a brighter future. The deeper questions surrounding Miru's own creation and ultimate purpose are a central part of the narrative.

Miru's key relationships are formed with the protagonists of each episode, whom it supports in their respective struggles. Through these encounters, Miru itself undergoes significant development, constantly learning and adapting from each new human connection. The robot's own uncertainties are gradually resolved as it gains experience and understanding through its travels.

Notable abilities include time travel, travel between parallel worlds, and shape-shifting. Miru is also equipped with specialized attachments on its back, designed to help it overcome physical challenges. These attachments include a breaker for crushing rock and concrete, a shovel with a bucket that opens and closes like a hand, a turbine for manipulating air and water, a grapple loader with a robust claw, a high-intensity floodlight, and a plow with steel claws for turning soil. With its multi-jointed arms, Miru can handle a wide range of tasks, from delicate operations to powerful heavy-duty work, and it can flexibly switch attachments to adapt to different situations.
