Description
Norn Greyrat is the second child of Paul Greyrat and Zenith Greyrat, making her the younger sister of Rudeus Greyrat and the older half-sister of Aisha Greyrat. She has golden blond hair inherited from her mother and green eyes. As an adult, she is noted to be a beauty with features resembling Zenith’s.
Her early life was shaped by the Fittoa Region Teleport Incident, during which she was transported alongside her father Paul while the rest of the family was scattered. This event created a deep attachment to Paul, and she developed a strong hatred for anyone who harmed him, including Rudeus after he fought with their father. Growing up, she became an independent girl because Paul was often preoccupied with searching for the missing family members.
Norn is portrayed as an ordinary child with no particularly exceptional magical or combat talents, which, when contrasted with the prodigious abilities of her siblings, fostered a powerful inferiority complex. She is a devout follower of the Millis religion and strongly disapproves of Rudeus’s practice of polygamy. Her stubbornness initially prevented her from reconciling with Rudeus; it took years before she finally broke down, cried on his chest, and called him “big brother” for the first time, marking a turning point in their relationship.
After this reconciliation, Norn began to grow stronger emotionally. She took up fencing, training under Eris, with whom she unexpectedly formed a friendship over their shared admiration for Ruijerd. Later, she attended Ranoa Magic Academy, where she succeeded Ariel Anemoi Asura as student council president. Without her knowledge, Rudeus played a significant role in establishing an official fanclub for her at the school.
Throughout her arc, Norn evolves from a resentful, insecure girl into a more confident and capable young woman who learns to accept her own limitations and reconcile with her family. Her notable abilities are not tied to magic or combat prowess; instead, she develops competence in fencing and demonstrates strong leadership as student council president, proving that her value lies not in innate talent but in perseverance and personal growth.
