Description
Enkidu is the Servant who appears in the Lancer class during the events of Fate/strange Fake. They are summoned as the False Lancer, bound to a Master known only as the Wolf or Silver Wolf, a being created solely as a catalyst for the Holy Grail War and driven by instinct rather than ambition or desire for the Grail. Enkidu is not a typical Heroic Spirit. They originated as a clay doll created by the gods Anu and Aruru, shaped from the earth of Mesopotamia to serve as a counterpart and counterbalance to the king of heroes, Gilgamesh. Over time, through their friendship and battles with Gilgamesh, Enkidu became a fully realized being, a unique existence that blends divine creation, human emotion, and a profound connection to the natural world.

Enkidu possesses a personality that is calm, neutral, and observant. They are not driven by ego, pride, or personal want. Instead, they act as a stabilizing force, a weapon of the planet itself. They approach conflicts with a sense of balance and purpose, evaluating threats and responding with an efficiency that reflects their origin as a tool of divine will. Their core motivation is not to win the Holy Grail for a wish but to fulfill their role as a being created to maintain equilibrium, particularly in relation to Gilgamesh and the world around them. In the context of the Snowfield Holy Grail War, Enkidu represents a rare and formidable presence, one that steps into the conflict more as a natural phenomenon than as a combatant seeking personal gain.

Within the story, Enkidu serves as one of the False Servants in the flawed and manipulated Holy Grail War taking place in Snowfield, Nevada. Their role is deeply intertwined with their Master, the Wolf, a creature of pure instinct that does not understand human language or the intricacies of the Grail War. This master-servant dynamic is unusual, as Enkidu operates with a degree of independence, guided by their own understanding of the situation and their duty. They are a direct link to the ancient Mesopotamian myths that shape the core of the conflict, providing a contrast to the more complex schemes of the war's true orchestrators.

Key relationships define Enkidu presence in any story. Their bond with Gilgamesh, the False Archer in this war, is the most significant. Enkidu is described as the only friend of Gilgamesh, a companion who stood equal to the king of heroes in power and spirit. This history colors every encounter between them, as their reunion is not one of simple alliance or enmity but a complex meeting of two halves that were once whole. Their relationship exists beyond the rules of the Grail War, rooted in a shared past that predates the very concept of such conflicts. Enkidu also has a notable interaction with Ayaka Sajyou, the reluctant Master of the True Saber. Ayaka is instinctively drawn to Enkidu, and the normally untrusting synthetic beast that accompanies the Wolf becomes attached to her, suggesting that Enkidu feels a recognition or resonance with her unique nature as a being formed from concentrated magical energy.

In terms of development, Enkidu remains a constant and steady presence within the chaotic narrative. They do not undergo a dramatic personal transformation; rather, their role is to provide a point of stability and raw, elemental power that influences the battles and decisions of other characters. Their presence forces other Servants, particularly Gilgamesh, to confront their shared history and the nature of their existence as summoned heroes.

Enkidu abilities are extraordinary and reflect their status as a divine construct. They can freely reassign their own physical parameters through the skill Transfiguration, allowing them to adapt to any combat situation by adjusting their strength, speed, or magical defense from a fixed pool of energy. They possess Presence Detection at a rank of A plus, which allows them to sense all living beings within a range of roughly ten kilometers by synchronizing with the earth, effectively negating stealth abilities of an equal or lesser rank. Their body, made from the clay of the gods, can regenerate endlessly as long as the land provides mana, a skill known as Consummated Shape. They can channel nature itself, with animals responding to them instinctively. Offensively, they can create weapons directly from the earth using an ability similar to Age of Babylon, forming spears, blades, and chains from clay. Their body is also shape-shifting, capable of transforming into various weapons, tools, or even animals. Their ultimate ability is the Noble Phantasm Enuma Elish, titled O Humans, Let Us Restrain the Gods Above. This Noble Phantasm does not destroy; it binds. Enkidu transforms their entire being into a massive divine construct, often visualized as chains, that draws power from the Counter Force of the planet. Its strength scales directly with the threat to humanity or the world, making it an anti-purge weapon designed to restrain gods, divine beasts, and any entity that endangers the natural order.
