Description
Hiyori Izumi is a main character, a first-year student who serves as the vice president of the student council at her academy. Her life is defined by a unique duality as both a high-achieving student leader and a highly successful professional voice actress.

Born on September 5th, Hiyori and her older brother, Tomohiro Izumi, lost their parents in a car accident when they were young. Following this tragedy, the two siblings have lived together, depending solely on each other. This early loss had a profound impact on her, fundamentally shaping her personality and her deep-seated need to care for her brother. A former child actress, Hiyori has grown into a prominent voice actor and singer who works steadily in popular anime and video games. As the primary breadwinner of their household, she completely manages the family's finances.

On the surface, Hiyori presents a cheerful, sociable, and energetic demeanor. However, her public-facing personality masks a more guarded interior; she is deeply distrustful of others and is picky about whom she befriends, resulting in her having very few close friends. Her true, unfiltered self only emerges when she is alone with her brother, Tomohiro. Her most defining trait is an intense, devoted love for her brother, which often manifests as a powerful need to pamper and take care of him. While she appears to spoil him, the reality is that she becomes anxious and out of sorts if she cannot dote on him, a truth that only Tomohiro himself knows. This "brother complex" is a central aspect of her character, and her daily pleasure comes from doing things for him, such as cooking his favorite meal of Chinese fried rice.

Her role in the story is closely tied to the student council. Facing potential academic trouble due to missing school for her voice acting work, she is given a solution by her cousin, Miri Izumi, who is also a teacher at the school. Hiyori joins the student council as vice president, which allows her to maintain her student status. Critically, she only accepted this position because her brother Tomohiro, as the newly elected student council president, was the one to ask her.

Hiyori’s key relationships are few but deep. Her relationship with her brother, Tomohiro, is the axis around which her world revolves; she is fiercely protective of him and remains by his side out of both gratitude for his past support and a fear of being abandoned. She has a best friend and fellow voice actor named Yuha Iwata, affectionately called Yukko-chan, with whom she often works. Despite her guarded nature, she is the object of admiration for her older schoolmates, Kano Tokiwa and Sio Kamakura, who are passionate fans of her voice acting work. Her manager, Ririko Hijiri, worries about Hiyori’s social isolation.

Her development is rooted in her past. It is revealed that Hiyori was not always so devoted to her brother; she was once a precocious child star who looked down on him as immature. The night before their parents died, her mother advised her to be kinder to Tomohiro, a suggestion she dismissed. When the accident happened the next day, she was consumed by guilt, believing the loss was a punishment for her actions and living in terror of being rejected by her brother. However, Tomohiro comforted her during her grief and later fought to keep their family together when relatives tried to separate them. This pivotal act of kindness transformed their relationship, and her current behavior is a lifelong attempt to make amends and ensure they are never apart. Beyond her emotional world, Hiyori has several notable abilities. Her professional skill is voice acting, for which she is considered highly talented. She is also remarkably adept at housework, handling nearly all the cooking and cleaning for herself and her brother. A curious and unique ability she possesses is that she is a master of the game Rock Paper Scissors.
